Talk about publicity. Shortly after our publicity stint in ‘URBAN’, VF girls got a cease-and-desist letter from the Big Fish, Vogue magazine. Haha, we’re just a small fish in the big fashion sea - and, we’ve to change our names to avoid Vogue chewing us up into bits.
So readers, VF girls are moving and rebranding our fash blog. We’ll be back - bigger and flashier! And, we don’t need another lawyer’s letter. So sorry for the temporary hiatus. We’re in the process of moving all our blog posts to the new site and closing this down.
Stay tune.
For your reading pleasure:

all the best!!
don’t give in to Corporate Bullying! they have no rights to demand you change your names! It’s so obvious that voguefactory is *not* vogue that means that they cannot claim any damages because they wont be able to find anyone who will mistake one for the other! DONT GIVE IN TO CORPORATE BULLIES! You have rights as a blogger and as an independent. Just because they’re the big fish doesn’t give them the right to lay claim on a word they obviously DID NOT create! Good luck girls. Love the site!
yeah… Fish the big Fish…
that’s crazy… “vogue” is an english word in the dictionary and isn’t confined to their magazine title. they have no right to do this, and definitely not to word it so rudely. i agree, don’t do this!

Hello Babes! Thanks for sticking Suzz.com url onto your blog. Do keep us informed of your new URL so we can link you up at our site too. Take care, stay fashionista and good work!!
whoa! So they are demanding compliance now. That is so terrible! I mean the word Vogue is in the Oxford English dictionary. Anyone should be able to use it.
That is like Microsoft telling me I can’t use the word ‘Soft’. Absolutely ridiculous!
Ohmigosh, I just saw what Candy wrote, I totally agree with you!
I got here through a Google search, looking for a fanny pack and only clicked because I needed to comment on the emasculated looking model.
Forget that. What you should have done is told them to fuck off seven ways till sunday. They would have contacted Google and Google, being compliant sheep, would have arbitrarily and without warning yanked your blog. But you would have had the satisfaction of knowing you made some little lawyer somewhere work a bit harder than he would like.
Vogue assumes its readers are too fucking stupid to realize this blog is a fan of the theme of the magazine. And…quite frankly maybe they are. But a blog that only gets a dozen or so readers is hardly a threat and it’s a shame that you encountered the bully this way.
But don’t worry hon - these corporate giants don’t get to rest in peace with their millions.
