First, we have PETA ads with naked celebrities. It seems like showing skin can attract a little more attention. Victoria Beckham posed naked for a good cause to raise awareness on skin cancer campaign for designer, Marc Jacobs.

The charity T-shirt goes on sale to warn the good people about the danger of excessive exposure to sun. I absolutely support this campaign! I wear sunscreen all the time - the highest protection that I could find SPF 55, you name it. One for the body. One for the face. The sun over here in Singapore is really harsh, and you don’t wanna risk it for skin cancer.

Besides, Victoria also got her hubby to wear the T-shirt to add a lil’ more buzz to the entire campaign. Hmm, V-day gift ideas - make a T-shirt of naked you for your loved ones?

White Beauties at SAG 2008

Despite the vibrant background of the 2008 SAG Awards red carpet, there were quite a number of Ice Queens present. Brittany Snow, Eva Longoria Parker, Ashley Tisdale, Teri Hatcher, and Christina Applegate all donned white washed gowns with twinkling embellishments, and perhaps started a new red carpet trend! Blue Beauties at SAG 2008

Thank goodness there’s no more reason to be depressed about the lack of red carpets. Nonetheless, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Andrea Bowen, Amanda Bynes, Jenna Fischer, and Marcia Cross all still brought the blues . . . and teals, and turquoises to the SAG red carpet. Grey is not a color usually associated with the red carpet but this year’s SAG Awards brought out the grey days. The leaders of the pack? Fab ladies Giuliana DePandi, America Ferrera, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Pompeo, and Olivia Wilde. From Grecian to asymmetrical, strapless to velvet, these dresses did not fade in the background like the gloomy hue usually does. I’ve to say Marc Jacobs gives a creative twist with an alpha male-oriented theme to attract women’s attention! The Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer Collection campaign features six influential supermodels of the past 20 years such as Naomi Campbell, Angela Lindvall, Natalia Vodianova, Stephanie Seymour, Eva Herzigova, and Claudia Schiffer.

My Chinese New Year Shopping List

Chinese New Year is less than 2 weeks away and it’s the perfect excuse to shop till ya drop this weekend! Post-Christmas or Pre-CNY sales are still on. It’s going to be super crowded in town today! Here’s my CNY shopping list for today:

1. Black/Red Mary Jane Heels

This would look perfect for my ‘dress’ (which I haven’t bought yet!) that I’ll be wearing for my BF’s brother’s wedding. Obviously I can’t afford this particular one by Christian Louboutin. I need to check out at this new shoe outlet at Wisma Atria called Schu.

2. The “Dress”

Peggy Dress by Swirl

I bought this Peggy dress from Swirl at FashBash last December (see header picture, I’m wearing it!). I’m wearing this to the Best Friend’s wedding in next month. So, I kinda need another dress for the ‘Brother’s’ wedding. I’ve been scouting around but no luck. Sigh, there’s this one dress… from Coast. Then again, I don’t wanna end up looking like a bridesmaid - you know what I mean.

3. The Clutch

Bow Shaped Clutch by Nine West

Mum asked me to get her a clutch before going home for CNY. I like this bow shaped clutch from Nine West. It comes in royal shiny purple as well, but I guess gold is versatile for a mix-n-match look. Otherwise, I spotted a cute pink Tuilleries Evening Jocelyn at Kate Spade last week at Raffles City. Nice, but a little bit over my budget.

Alright! Time for a haircut at 11am, and then the shopping begins. Later!

Ahh, busy busy busy week (for me, of course). I finally had some time on my “off” day to blog. And, the Fash girls are mourning the untimely demise of Heath Ledger, one of the brightest actors of our generation. Rest in peace, good man. On the brighter, celebrities are spotted out and about at Paris Couture Week, Sundance Film Festival, movie premieres and anywhere but home. The following celebs caught our eye:

As we’re anticipating the new ‘Gossip Girl‘ episode on 28 Jan, Blake Lively is enjoying her fashionable fame in the city of lights, Paris. She looks kinda cute in a tartan and velvet minidress at the Jean Paul Gaultier show.

Eva Longoria in Paris

Mrs Tony Parker, Eva Longoria looks chic in a mod black Monique Lhuillier, complete with cap, thigh-high boots and Gucci purse while shopping in the streets of Paris.

Lucy Liu in Paris

Spotted at Valentino’s final couture show in Paris, Lucy Liu is clad in full-Valentino: a lilac dress with a billowing pink cocoon cape and Chopard jewels. She looks more like a marshmallow than ‘couture’. Not lovin’ it!

Heidi Klum in Germany

Home sweet home: Heidi Klum wears a black and white Temperley London minidress as she promotes Bella Fontanis water in Germany. I love it!

Charlize at Sundance

Everyone’s at Sundance! Even the beautiful, Charlize Theron. The Oscar winner kicks it casual in skinny J Brand jeans, a Thomas Wylde turtleneck and blazer. Very Kate Moss, eh?

I’m a sucker for ultra cool and chic furniture or household accessories. It has always been my dream to stay in my own bachelor loft, fully decorated with unique and cute pieces that will make anyone who visits my den (especially hot dates! *evil laughs*) go gaga. Here are some dream furniture and household pieces I had scouted over the net.

This orange rocking chair is a classic Eames vintage rocker made by the legendary Herman Miller. It’s rugged and cool at the same time. Great to be place in the balcony!

This lightweight and beautiful lamp is made from various layers of polyester, supplied with a cone-shaped plastic safety protector, which prevents the shade from coming into contact with the light bulb. Genius.

Cute, solid, silicone rubber doorstops. Much more macho than those high heel ones I saw in a shop the other day.

An innovative, simple and effective chopping board. Chop2Pot folds as you grip it. So all you have to do is to press the board flat to lock it into chopping position, chop, grip the handle and then just simply pour the ingredients. Easy peasy. Looks cool too, even if I can’t and will never cook!

Colourful vintage looking telephones. Makes you want to talk even longer. haha

An unique bathroom accessory with nine rubbery tentacles (so not really an octopus then) to hold shampoo or soap or whatever. A tenth tentacle is used to hang the Octopus from a tap, showerhead or hook. The tentacles stretch so, generally, there’s no need to even remove products from Octopus’ grip in order to use them.

A simple, cheap way to transform a room at a stroke. They work as screens, curtains or wall hangings. Your imagination is your only limitation. :)
