Skin Couture: Japanese Avant-Garde

My lunch shuttle switched location from Anchor Point to Great World City. So, yesterday I was shopping at Skin Couture, a multi label boutique by Chinese pop singer SUN that carries the “best glam rock brands worldwide“. I’m not an Ed Hardy fan (too red neck for my liking, sorry), but I’ve to say I was thrilled by the Japanese labels that she brought in such as Double Standard Clothing, Kiminori Morishita (for menswear), and etc. Here’s a quick glance:

I really really like. The neutral colours and clean lines. This is definitely my fave.

The first label that caught my eye is this one. I was digging a jacket from ‘em.

Nice Nice Nice. If only my man is more experimental in dressing up.

Glamourous, and sexy - I love the denim variation for jackets and bottoms.

Fancy cool lookin’ bags? You should look over here (and dump your Crumpler bag!)

If you’re planning to pop by Skin Couture soon, here’s a promo I saw at the shop. Scratch cards! So fun.

Pedder Warehouse Sale (26 to 27 April ‘08)

I’m taking a break from fashion blogging today. Just received grave news from abroad, and I’m really not in the mood. Fash-E’s going to mourn for the day. Be back tomorrow. Anyway, there’s a SALE this weekend ;)

Polyvore: Mid-week in the City

I started playing around with Polyvore again - which let me tell you, it’s highly addictive! I got hooked once and I had to called on a restrain order. Anyway, it’s midweek (yeah!) and I can’t wait for the weekend. I was reading Skip Skip Style and I got inspired by the red patent Dr Martens laceup boots as seen on Agyness Deyn and Daisy Lowe - so I created a look based on it. Here’s what I would wear (if the weather doesn’t kill me beforehand!):

And yes, I’ve a fascination for pigs and fashion.

I Heart Timmy Woods ‘Eiffel Tower’ Clutch

(Photo: Fabsugar)

If you’re a Lulu Guinness fan, you’re going to love this. Timmy Woods is America’s answer to quirky designed accessories. As seen in the new Sex and the City Movie, Carrie Bradshaw is seen in this quintessential ‘Eiffel Tower’ clutch with crystals while snogging Mr. Big. OMG, the clutch is like the cutest ever! I kept hinting to my boy about the ‘birthday’ that’s coming very very soon. You can also purchase the non-crystal alternative from Nordstorm, which I personally think looks nicer than this one:

Claudia Schiffer for Chanel

Let me remind you that Heidi Klum is ‘not’ the only beautiful German supermodel around. Don’t you forget Supermodel Claudia Schiffer. Karl Lagerfield must be smittened by Claudia since their Dom Perignon Oenotheque shoot back in 2007. Claudia is back - looking incredibly beautiful and sexy for the new Chanel ad campaign and Fash-E is truly lovin’ the clothes, and the girl:

OMFG! Gossip Girl is Back. Bolder. Bitchier.

The day has finally come! I kept refreshing my browser hourly to check if anyone has uploaded last night’s Gossip Girl on Youtube. Don’t blame me, blame the Internet! And, Singapore for being such a turtle when it comes to awesome TV shows. Anyway, I’m sooo glad that I can finally get my Monday (or rather Tuesday) fix of Gossip Girl’s sex, scandals and gorgeous clothes. Yesterday’s episode for totally smashin’ - and of course, a OMFG ending. Who’s G? Who’s Queen B again? Who’s gettin’ into trouble? More importantly, who’s wearing what - Fash-E has compiled the hot looks from yesterday’s The Blair Bitch Project episode:

Sweet ‘Little J‘ is the new Queen B. Her followers trotted along her side in their designer-clad clothes and cute stockings and socks! Now, here are the ’school style’ necessities as we can observed here: Colour headbands, screaming, loud bags and gorgeous trench coats.

Shy, and humiliated over her recent dethroned from her clique. Blair covered up her shame, but she still looks ultra cute in that school blue coat with adorable puffy sleeves. Serena looks awesome in her blood orange knee-length flat boots (I want!), A-line plaid skirt (adding to the preppiness) and skin-tight leather jacket. Hmm, this will be my inspiration look for monsoon HK.

In this episode, Jenny looks ultra-snappy in her new get-up. I love the way she combines the cute polka-dot socks with white tights, plus red pumps! (This is another inspiration look that’s going into my book!) She looks good, but she’s not ONE to be messed with.

With the same plaid skirt, Serena changed into another black leather jacket and black boots. I love this look on her, it really defines Serena’s style which sets her apart from the other girls.

So what are the boys wearing? Chuck, as usual… looking smart in his metrosexual checkered scarf and snazzy pants. He’s also trying to turn lil’ brother into one of his kind! BEWARE. Brotherhood, you say?

As you know, there’s a new girl in town. G. As played by Michelle Trachtenberg, G will wreck havoc in Serena’s life and of course, provide us another style perspective. I’m liking the idea already, and I can’t wait for the next episode. Above is a sneak peek at how she looks like, and what she’ll be wearing

Best.

Show.

Ever.

This is totally apt. Isn’t this the most fantabulous cover ever? Put the entire Gossip Girl cast in undergarments, and pose in orgy fashion. I need to get my hands on New York Magazine. What a brilliant way to sell your mags. Thank gawd for the end of the writer’s strike. I love TV.

Vogueite in Style, May 2008

I admit, I don’t buy Style: magazine regularly. But, I find this fashion editorial featuring fashion blogger, Carlos K. aka Vogueite - very intriguing. A playful, yet very tastefully done photo shoot on the androgynous look. At 18, he wore a Balenciaga shift dress and Burberry Prorsum Neoprene boots! I’m jealous and happy at the same time. Congrats, Vogueite! You’ve done good ;)

The yummy Burberry Prorsum Neoprene boots.

Look Book: Warehouse Dresses

WARNING: Nobody is supposed to ’see’ these. Haha, I never posted any of my fitting room pictures before but I thought it would be cool to show, before deciding to buy. Moe Moe and I absolutely love Warehouse and their dresses! We decided to strike a few poses in the very very small fitting room. I’m into all things floral, flower, whatever. Moe Moe picked a really cute, cutting-edge black dress that is soo pretty. Are we ready for our tea-party?

*blowing kisses at my lovely readers*

Trying to show my love for petticoats! Reminded me of my childhood home-made dresses.

Which do you like better? I read that paisley is “in” again, so I decided to try on the green dress which turned out to be really pretty! It has these silver linings which my camera can’t really show. Sigh. What do you think?
