Rachel Bilson’s Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans

We all know Rachel Bilson is one unique fashion individual. Let’s just say, her first collection, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans does not disappoint.  I love the color palette of white, black and traffic yellow - very indie, and very chic. Rachel says, “The pieces are really wearable which I think is important because you can mix and match from the line.” Her ideas are simple which is great because she doesn’t try too hard to be avant-garde or something. Better still, it doesn’t look like garbage from Heidiwood or Lauren Conrad. I’m sorry girls, I’m not a fan of The Hills.

It’s raining outside right now, and this poncho looks seriously apt.

I would wear these in a heartbeat. Make me look like an egg, I don’t care.

Nice. I love these jackets especially the tuxedo one with white piping.

Not too Avril Lavigne. I think these are really cool especially the white one.

Rachel Bilson in her collection during the promo event in Florida. Nice.

Look Book: No Evil

I see no EVIL.

I speak no EVIL.

I hear no EVIL.

T-shirt from Depression. Scarf from Topshop. Watch from Swatch.

Nothing you’ve never seen before. I just decided today I’ll mix my neon pink checkers with a floral scarf. Not sure if this ‘clash’ works but it kept me warm on my cold Monday! What do you think?

Vrrrooom!! F1 Singapore GP Party

There’s no party like an F1 Singapore GP party. Firstly, you’ve got to be V.I.P. Then, you’ve to be invited to this A-list party, probably one of the best of 2008. I hope you saw the race last night because it was awesome! Ferrari fans - go cry in at one corner, because Alonso from Renault is the big winner. He’s not just a dark horse for this race, no one would have expected this win! He deserved it, big time. Talk about making ‘history’. Let’s see who’s out partying all night:

Hey pretty ladies. That’s Ong Ai Leng in red and Apple Hong on the far left.

I hear that David Coulthard is quite a player.

Mika Hakkinen lookin’ suave with his missus.

Taiwanese host Xiao S and her partner. Then, Indian actress Mahima Chaudhary.

I love that silver print dress! And, we have the Speed Divas from Force India.

Bring your handsome accessory: Men in White.

Bollywood actresses are spotted with Preity Zinta on the right.

Bestest TV Style: Week [22/9 - 26/9]

With the abundance of stylish TV shows, I decided to start this new “weekly” summary of the best fashion, hair, finds on my favourite TV shows. You can expect to see fabulous styles from Gossip Girl, 90210, Lipstick Jungle, Ugly Betty and etc. Here’s a quick recap of the bestest TV style for week 22/9 to 26/9:

Lipstick Jungle Season 2

The girls are back! Lipstick Jungle is back with sassier storylines, but same fabulous ladies. Season 2 started with a funeral, and three best friends chuckling away in the front row - now, that’s something you don’t see often at a funeral.

Funeral-chic. I guess black is mandatory at funerals. Make a statement with pearls or big, long, layers of necklace. Clutch-bag is easy - you don’t want to be bringing your entire ‘world’ with you.

Gossip Girl

Queen B, step aside because Queen S is taking over.

Blair’s style is impeccable. Can hockey look any hotter? Love the red bow belt.

Who’s the new girl in school? Naughty, naughty Dan Humphrey.

Headbands and navy skirts. Who loves the schoolgirl look?

90210

Annie and Ty. I’m not too hot about their chemistry but they both look good.

Silver looks tomboy chic in this all-black get up.

Kelly and Brenda look ultra-good for their age! Cute dresses.

Silver in plum-colored clothing. The beret is kinda adorable.

Naomi has awesome clothes and a pretty face. I love this jacket with the dress.

Project Runway Season 5

This has to be the most interesting, and craziest challenge of Project Runway history. Each designer has to design an outfit inspired by a musical genre for another ‘designer’. You can imagine the chaos! It’s fun to see what their interpretation of each musical genre and some didn’t even “get it”. Leanne is Hiphop on the left, and Korto is Country.

Jerrell is rock ‘n’ roll. Kenley ‘Spears’ is Pop. She looks so different!!

Suede totally stole the show with his punk impersonation!

Look Book: Playing Carrie Bradshaw

Isn’t it a lovely day? I walked down to Starbucks at The Cathay this morning for a quick study session with a venti-size Ice Caffe Latte (nope, I don’t so soy milk). It’s actually quite nice to study there (at the outdoor patio area) as the wind was blowing and it wasn’t humid. I had one quality hour of studying before I embarked on a 4-HOUR shopping trip in Orchard Road. Bad girl. I know. I couldn’t resist it - I love most of ZARA’s latest collection. I saw the exact replica of the metal studded belt that Carrie Bradshaw wore in the SATC movie - but they didn’t have my size and it costs SGD$89.90. I bagged another one from the TRF section at SGD$29.90. Hah, works for me. And, I got these patent pointy-toed shoes which is totally perfect. I’ve been looking for these for awhile now, but I’ve never tried one that I truly love. This is love at first sight, literally. And, they’re comfortable too. Maybe I should wear them with red socks like TraiT. LOL.

This is LOVE at first sight. From TRF by ZARA.

My metal studded waist-belt. Yum.

I got these from Substance at Isetan Shaw. I couldn’t resist them!

Dress from M)phosis. Studded belt from ZARA. Black sandals from Substance. Wayfarers from bleudame.com

This is the inspiration from the SATC movie.

Studded Belt. Fierce Shoes.

Spotted: Rain Boots Buddy

Mansita, 26, Dramatic Writing student at Tisch Asia

I met Mansita today in the library (yes, our teeny, very empty library) and we were candidly chatting about rain boots! I absolutely heart her top which she got them from Uniqlo. The print is completely random but very nice. I need basic black boots since it’s so much easier to match with everything else. Mansita’s also a photographer - can’t wait to see her work!!

Look Book: It’s Raining Presents!

This morning’s rain was an instant killer! I quickly thought of my rainboots (I think I need more right now) and maybe black tights? Wottoncool and Fashionation have been blogging about their ‘warm’ wears about two days ago. Today, it’s my turn! I finally got to wear my denim dress that I bought from Black Market Art. And, I also received my little package today from bleudame.com - hurrah!! I finally got my two-tone wayfarers (ripped-offs, unfortunately) and my tie-dye scarf. They’re not very expensive, so try shopping with them!

Jacket from MNG, Denim Dress from Black Market Art, Tights from Bugis Market, Rain Boots from Plueys, Wayfarers from bleudame.com

Presents!! Haha, who doesn’t love receiving packages?

Upclose and personal with my “Made in Italy” tie-dye scarf.

Lick my Wayfarers. Now, do I look F1 ready?

I Heart Chanel’s Mademoiselle

source

Forget 2.55 - I freakin’ want these! This is “Chanel’s new chain calfskin flap bag is aptly named the Mademoiselle and is a rock and rollin’ rendition of the original classic” and in my humble opinion, this is the winner. It’s young, fresh and c’mon - look at those chains! This is my new “IT” bag and I should start saving hurr? Maybe after I finish paying off my semester fees.

Bubster, get me a Mademoiselle for Christmas!
