Truly Asia: PU3 (Malaysia)
Malaysia International Fashion Week opened with a bang with a show aptedly named Truly Asia that showcases designers from all over Asia. Tongue In Chic reports that “Malaysia’s PU3 will be opening the show followed by designers Arabella Ramsay (Australia), Ding Yong (China), Jattinn Kochhar (India), Stella Rissa (Indonesia), Ciyuki (Japan), Dou.Ze (Korea), Joey Samson (Philippines), FruFru & Tigerlily (Singapore), T-Ra (Thailand), and Duc Duy (Vietnam) with Jimmy Lim closing it for Malaysia”.

In a way, I think the MIFW ’08 gives more credit to Asian designers by honouring them with the opening show. I mean, Matthew Williamson opened Singapore Fashion Week – when do we get to see a Singaporean opening fashion week here in Singapore? I would like to see Sven Tan opening in hopefully 2010. Get ready for a video-heavy post. Tell me what you think about MIFW. I hope someone posts up awesome photos of the runway shows somewhere on cyberspace soon.

Bryanboy is in KL right now covering MIFW 2008. I’ll be in KL this weekend to shop, shop till I drop since it’s the begining of the The Malaysia Savings Sale 2008 (formerly known as The Malaysia Year End Sale). Oh yeah, good time to buy X’mas presents. Kuala Lumpur, here I come!!

Are you excited or what? I saw the news on Fashion Nation and I had to blog about this despite the fact that I’m busy bee with work and studying for my test. This would be hell week for me but I hope to meet Yvan in real-life! Ladies and gents, dress to impress if you’re going to hang around Orchard or Haji Lane area because you might get spotted by the Face Hunter himself.

The rumours are TRUE! Fashionologie reports that “Katie Holmes shot the Spring 2009 ad campaign for Miu Miu today with eight unnamed models — which explains the smoky makeup and slicked-back hair the paparazzi caught her in this evening. No word on who the campaign photographer is, but based on history, I would guess Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott”
I can’t help but notice Suri Cruise’s cute red ballet shoes! Do they come in adult sizes?
Anyway, I’m unbelievably busy for at least till December – presentation, exam, work events, parties, blah blah blah blah. I just wanna bolt out of this country and be a bum. Like seriously. Will blog when I can. In the meantime, I can’t believe it’s December already!! Yikes.

Yes, the secret is out. A month ago, we met Bryanboy who’s in Singapore for a highly confidential photoshoot. Now, we all know it’s for Singapore’s Style: Magazine (December 2008). I haven’t got my hands on it yet but I’ll go hunt it down this evening. Thanks to Carlos from Vogueite for the heads up! BB seems to be ecstatic about it when I conversed with him via our Facebook‘s walls. 10-pages of fashion glory! I’m utterly jealous – when am I going to be featured in a magazine? The narcissist is speaking. Enjoy the spread and go buy yourself a copy, cheapskate!
