Yesterday, I collected the mammoth-lookin’ Prada: Creativity, Modernity, Innovation book from the flagship store at ION Orchard. This 708-page book is easily 10kg! Time for a good arm workout, hurr. This coffee table book is all about Prada. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Picked up my Prada book during lunch. It felt like carrying an elephant!

This is the fancy cardboard box that protects the book.

Ta-dah! The hard-cover book is rested in the box!

Here’s a quick look of the content of the book. Exciting stuff!

I love this one. An amazing timeline of Prada collections over the years.

You can ogle at the key pieces from the collections (1988 till 2009).

The book included all campaigns from 1987 till 2009. YES, everything.

This is from Fall/Winter 1991 campaign.

The making of the Prada tie-dye. Step-by-Step.

The making of Prada collections. An eye-opener.

Wanna see every Prada stage and blueprint? The book has it all.

Storyboard of their TVCs.

Prada skirts – or waist-down.

Prada Transformer is spectacular!

Who’s wearing Prada?
It’s going to take me awhile to go through this book. I can tell you that this is a keeper.

hope my school library will ‘stock’ this book soon lol!!
is the book available for purchase to the public? how much does it cost? it looks wonderful!
how much did it cost? Looks Fabulous!!!
What I loved about this book is how we’re able to get privy with what’s going on in the production stage. Like you said, truly an eye opener. Also love the archive of past campaigns and runway looks. Now I just need to look for that glass magnifier. Hehe. Enjoy your book!
Laila: I bet they will! If you wanna take a look, you can get it from me – but you must carry it from my house! LOL
xo & JuanP: Yes, the Prada book is available for sale to the public. I’m not sure how much it costs in Singapore Dollars. Here’s a reference from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Prada-Miuccia/dp/888702944X Hope this helps!
freshmess: Did you get your copy? It’s mind-blowing! I haven’t had time to go through it slowly… must study it. I love the smell of books, especially like this encyclopedia-like book!
Hi! I wasn’t able to get back and see your reply until now. Yes, I ordered it from Prada and since the first one they shipped out to me was torn and damaged (the slipcase and cover box), they sent me another one. Now I have two, with one sans slipcase and cover! It’s mind-blowing yes! Esp. when I spotted Bagaholicboy referenced in one of the chapters. Woot!
