LG New Chocolate BL40 Launch in Hong Kong

I attended my first press junket to Hong Kong for the LG New Chocolate BL40 phone official launch at Four Seasons Hotel. Fash-E has an exclusive sneak peek of the stylish phone and its functions! Taiwanese model/actress of ‘Red Cliff’, Lin Chi-ling and jewellery designer Nadya Hutagalung both graced the event to share their personal experiences with the phone. Did I mention that they are both stunning in real-life? Star-struck moment! Lin Chi-ling claimed that you can easily slip the phone into your back pocket and sit on it! That is interesting! Nadya Hutagalung designed a pair of black diamond earrings (as seen on her) that will be auctioned off for charity in conjunction with LG.

I used to own the first Chocolate phone because it looks beautiful. Don’t you love the black, clean design? I do. The successor is lookin’ even better, and slimmer! It is made of tempered glass so your phone will be scratch-free and durable. It has a 4-inch WVGA (345 x 800 pixels) which allows you to enjoy 21:9 cinematic display. They played James Cameron‘s ‘Avatar’ trailer for a cinematic experience. You’ve to try this phone when it hits Singapore on November 14. It is priced at S$988 without contract.

i know i can’t compare two different fruit. i hate my viewty. is this really good? i think i should just stick to good ‘ol keypad phones.

  • It depends on what you’re looking for in a phone. The LG Chocolate is pretty – but I haven’t had the chance to experience it long enough to give you a fair review on its functionality. I only touched it for like 5 minutes? I’m not a tech reviewer – but it looks aesthetically beautiful. Maybe a little heavy because of the tempered glass.
