Inspired by the imagined Coco Chanel‘s wanderlust to China, Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 collection walked down the runway against a stunning backdrop of the Huangpu river and Shanghai’s sparkling skyline. Staying true to Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld presented a collection of “sharp tweeds in white and evergreen, edged in black; pushing the office girl into the night, he tossed slim little jackets over leather leggings”. The Asian elements came across strongly throughout the collection with the details, embellishments, accessories and also the qipao inspired pieces. Beautiful… Beautiful… I can’t describe it better. It would be literally a dream for moi to attend a Chanel runway show. I truly hope that ‘one day’ would come.
