It’s red carpet season! Let’s kick start this beautiful year with the People’s Choice Awards 2012. It’s not as formal as the Academy Awards or the Golden Globes. I like the fact that celebrities take risks and you know, have a little fun with fashion at fun awards like this. This year, we are seeing hues of emerald and blues – maybe one or two Little Black Dress-es. The sheer, lace trend is apparent at the red carpet as celebrities are playing fashion peek-a-boo with us. There are alot of solid colors, not many prints but I’m lovin’ the minimalism. What do you think? Here are my favorites from the red carpet from the People’s Choice Awards 2012:

Seriously CHIC. Nina Dobrev of The Vampire Diaries totally killed it with this emerald Elie Saab gown with an adorable Lauren Merkin clutch and nude Elie Saab strappy pumps.

Another of the Emerald ladies: Emma Stone is rockin’ this smart Gucci suit and pants because she knows she can.

How old is Chloë Moretz again? This girl is going to grow up and be an absolute fashionista. Look at her in this cute Proenza Schouler dress!

Next up, we’ve got the Blues Ladies. Jennifer Lawrence is taking a fashion step up with this sexy Viktor & Rolf dress with Jack Vartanian earrings.

Cobie Smulders (or more affectionately known as “Robin” from HIMYM) is sooo gorgeous in this cobalt blue strapless Reem Acra dress with Rebecca Minkoff heels, Jimmy Choo clutch and Etro collar necklace.

Hardly on my fashion radar, Busy Philipps stood out this time in this figure-hugging Carven sheath dress with embellished Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

Pretty in Pink. Ginnifer Goodwin went all bright and pink in this Roksanda Ilinsic sheath dress with bell sleeves. And, who can forget those Jimmy Choos?

You can’t deny the cuteness of Kirsten Bell. This time, she fires up in a red top and skirt by Valentino and Christian Louboutin pumps.

There is no best-dressed list without Lea Michele. This girl is almost a red carpet veteran at her young age. She is going all “The Artist” with this ’20s-inspired fringe dress from Marchesa.

Girl, you are lookin’ fab in that new figure! Kelly Osbourne has all the right to show off her hot bod with this colorblock gown from Honor.

Ashley Greene brings her vampire character to the red carpet. Leather and Lace – this is a badass custom-made dress by DKNY and of course, Brian Atwood pumps.
