Gucci Singapore kindly invited me to be part of the Gucci Cut & Craft Charity Project for MILK (Mainly I Love Kids). How could I say no? Let’s talk a little bit about the charity: Gucci Singapore has been supporting MILK annually. This year, Gucci Singapore in conjunction with HerWorldPlus on their Facebook page organizes the Cut & Craft Origami Icons of Heritage Project to raise S$40,000 for MILK by 25th November 2012. The best thing is… YOU can be a part of this! Here’s how you can help:
- Download the patterns of either one of the Icons – The New Bamboo, The Jackie or the Stirrup and colour/ design/ create the bag.
- Upload a picture of the creation onto the HerWorldPlus Facebook Page Gucci Cut & Craft App.
- For every successful submission, Gucci Singapore will donate $100 to MILK. Also, for each submission which garners a vote (or like), Gucci will donate $10 for each vote.
- At the end, the best 10 submissions will be sent to Creative Director, Frida Giannini and the top 2 selections will each win an Icon bag.
Of course, terms and conditions apply (please check the Facebook app for more info).
Inspiration from around the world: Moniadi Liello (Italy) and Asaf Mizrahi (Israel)
Another Gucci Bamboo from Franz Nagel (Germany).
I was inspired by Gucci Spring 2013 geometric pattern and floral print for The New Bamboo creation.
Let’s get those markers ready!
Precision is key. Obviously, I haven’t really done any art and craft in a long time! I can’t colour within the lines.
Nail varnish adds a little extra to my creation. Essie Luxeffects “Set in Stones” gives my bag a little bling.
TA-DAH! It took almost 3 hours to complete this bag but it was all worth it.
