Fash-Eccentric! is a Singapore fashion & lifestyle blog where trendspotting meets high-fashion, e-shopping, celebrity style spy and everything peachy. A place where retail therapy never sleeps.
The Burberry Sport Spring 2010 collection is now available. Be prepared for technical sport trench, large oversized volumes, narrow fitted bodies, poncho, a-line multi quilts and bomber jackets. I particularly love the sporty interpretation of the classic trench (for example the yellow piece – certainly one of my favourites). It’s really exciting to see that sports is going high fashion and Burberry has got it right. There’s nothing more chic than light-weight, ergonomic sportswear for the healthy, lean body. It’ll be great if it snows in Singapore – because we won’t be able to wear these gorgeous pieces here.
Finally. The premiere of the music video of 2010: Telephone by Lady Gaga feat Beyonce. A tribute to the 70s grindhouse/sexploitation films and yes, Thelma & Louise. How can we forget?
11 February 2010, Prison For Bitches. LOL.
Tongue-in-Cheek: The guards said, “I told you she didn’t have a dick”.
Fierce heels! Who says prison is not fashionable?
You want to light my sunnies? Lady Gaga shares a hot kiss with an inmate.
Ingenious use of Coke Light cans as hair curlers, don’t you think?
Is that jacket the same as Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O’s from the Zeromusic video?
Victoria Secret angels in chains and spikes?
The much talk-about DO NOT CROSS bandage costume.
An idea for funeral-chic.
A Tarantino moment in the Pussy Wagon. Beyonce is Honey Bee (like Honey Bunny?)
“once you kill a cow, you gotta make a burger”
Isn’t this Telephone hat like super amazing?
Cook ‘n’ Kill Recipes by Lady Gaga.
LOL. It’s so funny so see this ‘choking’ dance move.
I loveee the bits and baubles.
*meow*
I know this sounds bad but Beyonce looks like a blowup doll.
Click to watch ‘Telephone’ by Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce now!
The hype has spoken. ‘Telephone’ by Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce just premiered minutes ago and I’ve to say it’s hawwwtttttt! Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, who also directed Gaga’s “Paparazzi” video with True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard. I mean, Lady Gaga liplocking with another girl… Coke Light cans as hair curlers… girls beating up each other… prisoners in killer heels… and OMG, the “PUSSY WAGON” truck from ‘Kill Bill’!!! I like the Tarantino-influenced scene in the truck – haha “once you kill a cow, you gotta make a burger”. Sorry Vegans. You’ve to see this, like nowww!
The Fashion Queens have spoken. See what they say about the outfits in this outrageous video.
It’s no secret that I love Korean hottie, Rain to bits. His latest photoshoot for Cosmopolitan Korea’s March 2010 issue is … hawt (although I prefer him with less ‘makeup’). For some reasons, he looked pretty “Photoshop-ed” but who cares? Pardon me, I’m having Korean drama withdrawal syndrome – just finished a season and now I don’t know what to do with life? :/ I’m such an exaggerator. It’s Friday!
Here’s a fact: The blog dies and then revives once every year. I don’t know why (actually I do know why). My email isn’t working. I forgot how to blog. But… I’m excited Fash-E is back up again! Do you miss me? I guess I took a short vacation from the blog to do things which I miss doing like playing the piano, watching Korean dramas, catching up with the family and getting married. Nothing really exciting or fashion-y. Here’s a flashback of the entire month which you’ve missed:
Next Reel International Film Festival
Five days of films, workshops and parties organized by Tisch School of the Arts Asia. Filmmakers from 25 different countries get together in Singapore and lookin’ ultra chic.
The Oscars (and the other Awards)
I literally jumped off my seat when Kathryn Bigelow was announced Best Director for Hurt Locker. It was history happening right in front of my eyes. She’s one cool banana – I mean, that woman can direct action films and Point Break!
Goodbye Alexander McQueen
Such a sad loss to the fashion world. Above is three of the 16 final pieces designed by the famed designer premiered for the first time today at a special preview in Paris.
Chinese New Year
The family and I spent another CNY in Singapore. A small, intimate gathering.
Tying the Knot
On the brighter side, Bubster and I tied the knot on 11 February 2010. Yay!

One of the things I miss about my life in Malaysia are my girlfriends. I’m so glad that Jan did such an awesome job in organizing my hen’s night. If you’re reading this, *BIG HUG* you totally rock! It was probably the BEST NIGHT OUT I’ve ever had in Singapore (as a single lady!). My girlfriends from Malaysia flew down to Singapore to surprise me and boy, I was super surprised that I cried! I know, I know. It was the best surprise ever… I was totally caught off guard! There is nothing better than awesome company Then, these girls tortured me the whole night with naughty games (which I will not reveal!)… but it was all in the name of “fun”.
We kicked start the night with dinner at The Screening Room. The food & wine were yum!
Then, we head down to Hard Rock Cafe to do the “deed” – ugh, horrible! horrible!
After that, we head down for some laughs at Kumar’s show at 3 Monkeys.
And yes, more bad sttttuuuufffff!
Do you like my GIGANTIC diamond ring? I loveeee it!
Eventually we head down to Clarke Quay to check out the night life – yes, we had a long, long night of fun! Oh man, I wish all my girlfriends are living in Singapore. We used to say that we would be housemates and live like the sitcom, “Friends” - well, we all went our separate ways after high school. It was great to have them all over the weekend. BEST. WEEKEND. EVER.
One of my New Year’s resolutions this year is to help more. I don’t think I’ve ever been very “socially responsible” – usually my donations go to building funds or temples. This year, I’ll try to help based on the immediacy of the situation. Hope For HaitiNow is a global benefit for earthquake relief. The Asian tsunami was devastating – I’m sure everyone from this part of the world will remember how bad it was. Some lost their families. Some lost their friends. Haiti is currently going through the same catastrophe. They need help.
You can donate any amount – USD$25, USD$50, USD$100, USD$250, USD$500 & USD$1000 (again and again as well) via this website. 100% of the funds raised will go towards relief efforts in Haiti and there are NO backend costs (according to the website). Bubster and I have donated – have you?
You can check out ‘live’ Twitter updates on Haiti #igave via this url.
