Bestest TV Style: Week [3 - 7 Nov]

BUSY TIMES AHEAD. Yup, school started yesterday and work is starting to get a little crazy. In a way, it’s good because I’ll be occupied before my big year-end break. Then again, I’ll have to juggle ‘blogging’ and ‘meeting dad & friends’ on top of everything else. Not enough hours in a day, as usual. Last week, Gossip Girl gets saucier as lil’ J turns into a fashion rebel. 90210 parties hard and someone gets into trouble in her new pair of hot boots. Lipstick Jungle continues (I’m blogging two episodes here) and I’m still lovin’ The Rachel Zoe Project. It’s totally bananas!

Gossip Girl: “There Might Be Blood”

Lil’ J is looking super hot! Love that hair piece!

Serena needs some love. Erm, that’s Jenny’s punk design.

90210: “Secrets and Lies”

Silver is gorgeous. Steal her look here!

Naomi and Adrianna tone it down a notch.

High-school fashion has never been so cool. I miss Dylan McKay.

Lipstick Jungle: “The Lyin’, the Bitch & the Wardrobe”

Victory models her own designs with a lil’ bit of wine.

The fashion show.

Aww.

Lipstick Jungle: “Let The Games Begin”

Grownups, dress a lil’ more posh.

The Rachel Zoe Project: “Award Season, that’s Bananas!”

I know the season has ended but I love this show! Bring in Season 2!

Wedding dress shopping at Marchesa.

Picking for vintage jewelry for the Oscars. A dream job.

Testing gowns on the models. Fun!

Spotted: MTV Europe Music Awards 2008

I didn’t catch it on MTV! Boo. Anyway, the MTV Europe Music Awards is always crazy, and ultra-fun. This year, MTV EMAs celebrated its 15th birthday with a bang in Liverpool and the show is hosted by Katy Perry. Let’s see who stole the limelight at the red carpet at Europe’s biggest music event of the year:

Beyonce is taking risks. You might have heard or seen her in the Gareth Pugh dress during her performance. Unusual choice? I don’t think so. She is in talks to play DC Comic’s Wonderwoman. Are you ready for this? Obama power seems to be painting the country “ebony” - in a good way, of course. Nothing offensive. Here, she stole the show with Gareth Pugh. I dig those silver metal glove that matches her nails!

Katy Perry shines in this colorful eye-catching frock by Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

Daisy Lowe looks gothic-chic in this black dress and metal studded belt.

Anastacia looks stunning in this gold sequined number while her tattoos revealed a naughty side.

Solange Knowles goes monochromatic in this cool ensemble.

Katie White from the Ting Tings looks like a blast from the past.

This is for Stephie: How to team up your pink Doc Martens!

The Sequel: Chloë Sevigny For Opening Ceremony

I know it’s a little late but I am in love with this collection. This is Chloë Sevigny’s first foray into fashion design specially for Opening Ceremony. She’s currently working on the follow-up on her first collection. Her menswear line with the boutique would be launching next Fall. Chloe is no stranger to fashion as many count her as a young, fresh style icon of this century. Her individual fashion sense has occasionally inspire and fascinate those in the fashion circle. In a nutshell, the collection is a successful blend of 90s inspiration, quirky, florals, and gingham frocks. Enjoy the ride:

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Black is my colour of the moment. Leopard print flats!

OMG. I want those shoes! I need white socks.

Why so serious?

I want. I want. I want.

Vintage lovers will love these wallpaper-like floral prints.

Chloe-haters, eat this.

Sneak Peek: 1st Look of ‘Coco Avant Chanel’

Are you excited? I am! Fash-E blogged about the new Coco Chanel’s biopic called Coco Avant Chanel with Audrey Tautou as the iconic French fashion designer, Coco Chanel, of course. We’re finally getting the first look at the production still of the film which will only be released in late 2009. Karl Lagerfeld is said to be supervising the costumes in this film - you bet this is going to be bananas. I’m already lovin’ the vest and bow-tie look above. Hmm, need more bow-ties.

Look Book: Bobster Get Shorty

I went for a haircut yesterday. My bobster needed an overdue snip snip and I decided to get rid of the clean lines, and go bedhead. That means more layers and uneven lengths. I love it. I wish my fringe is a little longer - I could do a Kate Lanphear but nah, I hate it when my hair pokes my eyes. I thought of colouring my hair, but I was too lazy to sit in the same spot for 2-hours. Maybe next time.

The same shape, but messier. Ignore the eye bags.

Longer on my right.

Shorter on my left. Have a good weekend!

It’s my last weekend of freedom before school starts. Yikes!

Fash-Icon: Hasisi Park (i-really-want-to-be-you)

There’s just something about her. Hasisi Park is your 25-yr old South Korean photographer and filmmaker who has impeccable style and a fantastic eye. I’m in love with this amazing, talented ingenue - I mean, she’s everything I wanna be and of course, I gave up on that a long time ago. Her fashion sense is an eclectic mix of vintage, fantasy, ethnic, innocence and whimsical. You can fight (im)perfection like that.

The smoking vest, or so they say.

I’ll never look at panties the same way again.

I love her blank expressions.

Mascara on a whole another level.

Lights, Camera, Action! Fashion Video Bloggers

You’ve gotta admit it. Video blogging seems to be the “IN” thing nowadays. The Youtube phenomenon might seem so ‘yesterday’ but fashion bloggers are taking their blogging skills to the next level - DIY videos uploaded on the web. You can not only read, look at outfit photos but watch your favourite bloggers talk to you “face-to-face”. I think it’s awesome that you get to see, hear bloggers ‘live’ in action - and yes, we wanna hear your accent! Here are some videos that Fash-E spotted in the fashion cyberspace:

Bryanboy’s Faggotry in Motion series is one of my favourites. This is a video of his Style: Magazine photoshoot in Singapore. Picture may speak a thousand words, but video says more!

Susie Bubble of Style Bubble reviewed Buck magazine with her boyfriend. Really cute video! You should really check this out. Well-executed as well. The english accent’s so sexy.

Camille from Childhood Flames uploaded this interesting tutorial on how to make your own shredded tee. Rumi from Fashion Toast even modeled a shredded tee she made based on this tutorial! I’ve yet to try it.

Models are also making their mark on Youtube. Chanel Iman made five short clips for Chanel Iman TV to give you a glimpse of her modeling life. In this video, she does a little makeover for her mum. Watch!

Back to the lil’ red dot, our local fash-blogger, Nicole from Cherry Magazine has her own series of Cherry Magazine TV. She’s so cute! I like her enthusiasm and effort in putting together her own photoshoot, videos and all. Bravo!

So, am I starting a Fash-Eccentric TV? Watch this space.
