Who’s excited about Alexander Wang? I am! The Alexander Wang Fall 2010 campaign video fronted by model Abbey Lee Kershaw in a dark, gritty hotel which is nothing like its inspiration: Wall Street. My first love is filmmaking – but there has to be a purpose. The idea of fashion x moving visuals is definitely sexy. Does it truly resonate designer’s artistic vision and emotions? Maybe. I guess I’ll have to see the collection to make that connection.

In case you’re living in Jupiter, Alexa Chung inspired ‘the’ Mulberry Alexa bag. Yes, the “IT” bag of 2009 that sells faster than wonderbras – even I couldn’t get my hands on them in London! Am I dreaming? Or am I seeing angels? The Loewe Fall 2010 ad campaign features Victoria Secret angels, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Adriana Lima – all covered up in beautiful Spain! You can’t blame me, I’m itching to travel again. Fly me back to Europe! Spain! Italy! Anywhere! Loewe is tempting me to book the next flight to Madrid with its understated ad campaign. Such a pleasure to see the angels in another light (not just boobs and lingerie!). And, how can we forget the bags and gosh, I love that trench!

Esprit is stepping up. First, the Spring/Summer 2010 collection featured fashion darlings, Daisy Lowe and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. For the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, Esprit continues to use international faces for their campaign. Get ready for Coco Rocha for Esprit Collection; Du Juan, Anne Vyalitsyna, and Missy Rayder for Esprit Casual. You know, I used to love Esprit when I was still a student. It has been awhile since I checked out their collection – I guess I could pop by one of these days. If it’s good enough for Coco Rocha, it’s good enough for me!

Lady Dior Flies to Shanghai

Shanghai is definitely getting the world’s attention. Especially the big players in Fashion. First, Chanel. Now, Dior. It is latest the backdrop for the ongoing Lady Dior ad campaign for Spring 2010. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard returns with more dramatic flair and mystery.  A 12 minute film, shot by David Lynch, will be unveiled at the same time as the cruise collection titled ‘Lady Blue’ in Shanghai. “In the David Lynch film, Marion is reciting a poem that he wrote, and was inspired by the Pearl Tower itself,” Galliano explained. “The words and building fuse in the picture he paints on-screen. Shanghai is such a vibrant and inspiring city.” I think its the perfect stage to bring high fashion to the Asian region. At least, this is a start.

Burberry & Louis Vuitton kicked start my Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign post. I love the beautiful Lara Stone in the ethereal shoot – makes me want to buy LV for the first time, I know. As for Burberry, I thought it was very un-Burberry to begin with and the models are refreshingly sexy for the brand. Then again, I’m not so difficult to please :D Let’s see if the other luxury brands will blow our 4-inch heels off our feet with their latest SS10 campaign:

Trench has never looked sexier. Emma Watson is back for Burberry Spring Summer 2010 ad campaign alongside four hot British models: Emma’s younger brother Alex Watson, Matt Gilmour, Max Hurd and George Craig. Christopher Bailey, Burberry‘s Creative Chief Officer said this campaign “celebrates our heritage and our timeless Burberry icons. The energy of the images and the dynamic cast reflect the different attitudes and expressions of the Burberry guy and girl.” As photographed by Mario Testino, this campaign is effortlessly fresh and young – it makes me wanna run out to grab myself a purple check trench. Hmm, make that two.
