Rain in Cosmopolitan Korea

It’s no secret that I love Korean hottie, Rain to bits. His latest photoshoot for Cosmopolitan Korea’s March 2010 issue is … hawt (although I prefer him with less ‘makeup’). For some reasons, he looked pretty “Photoshop-ed” but who cares? Pardon me, I’m having Korean drama withdrawal syndrome – just finished a season and now I don’t know what to do with life? :/ I’m such an exaggerator. It’s Friday!

Rain in Burberry Prorsum trench. Yum.

When will Bubster ever dress like this? *sigh*

DEPRESSION: BIPOLAR DISORDER

depression-bipolar-disorder-3

Singapore label DEPRESSION launched their new collection, BIPOLAR DISORDER on 8 Jan. I’ve always been a fan of the boys’ designs. But I haven’t been to their store recently though. I guess I have to pay them a visit after seeing the new collection. I’m officially lovin’ the skirts! Inspired by the concept of dichotomies, the designs play with the vintage prints, loud graphics and mostly muted colours (with a burst of bright blue and red). If you haven’t been to DEPRESSION, head down to Far East Plaza #04-41 along Scotts Road. The boys – Kenny & Andrew are really awesome in person.

Happy New Year from Macau!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Miss me? I’ve been away since Christmas eve (sorry for the lack of updates) on a trip to Hong Kong, Macau and China. Just got back to Singapore late last night. I haven’t had the chance to catch my breath. Thanks for your emails and yes, I’m not dead. So, let me entice you with some photos from Macau. This quaint lil’ place has more to offer than just casinos and egg tarts. I didn’t spend enough time in Macau to fully explore the area. So far, it has been pretty interesting. I’ve to go back there again. Definitely.

The famous Ruins of St Paul’s. Probably the most recognisable ‘icon’ of Macau.

macau-12

The Macau Tower. I didn’t go up the tower. I guess I just wasn’t interested.

macau-5

Ahh, tourist-friendly directions. Just what I need.

macau-8

My fuel of the day: Yummy Portugese egg tarts! Go for Margaret’s Cafe e Nata.

Goofing around with the canon near Macau museum.

I love canons so much, I even bought one with my surname as a souvenir!

The buildings and apartments here look amazingly packed and interesting.

You can’t leave Macau without seeing the CASINOS! *ka-ching!*

macau-13

Last but not least, The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. The largest casino in the world.

Honestly, I think it’s pretty tacky. I guess I’m not a fan of casinos afterall.

Well, it’s back to work tomorrow. Welcome back to reality.

Where’s My Beach?

phuket-2009

It’s Sunday, and I’ve nothing to blog about.

November was a busy busy month for me. I didn’t even have time to read emails (or even settle my bills!). I’m trying to catch up with everything now – sorry if I haven’t reply your emails yet! Let’s see, I spent my entire Sunday cleaning the house after three crazy weekends away from home. What to do? I don’t have a maid or mummy to clean after me. Met some friends over the weekend for lunch for the first time since July! I know, I’ve been a bad friend. I need work-blog-life balance.

In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my evening thinking about my next beach holiday. I’ve no idea when. I need to put a big portion of money aside now – for my future home with Bubster. Life as an adult hurr. I thought paying rent was painful – wait till you buy your own house. It’s a whole new chapter.

UNIQLO Opens at 313@Somerset

UNIQLO at 313@Somerset opens today!

I attended the exclusive UNIQLO SS2010 fashion show yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia with 500 other lucky guests. This fashion show celebrates the opening of their largest store in Southeast Asia. Yes, it is pretty massive! After that, the VIPs and media peeps got into a convoy of buses to preview the store at 313@Somerset. The funny thing is we were greeted by a team of construction workers who were working hard at the finishing touches of the shopping mall.

Everyone literally rushed and grabbed the highly coveted collection off the racks. I didn’t wanna overspend (because there is probably an opening sale today – and I was right!)… but I couldn’t help myself and got a couple of pieces from the collection. Well, we’ve got SGD$100 to spend courtesy of the good people at UNIQLO :D Thank youuu!

Today, 200 people queued up at the store before its opening time at 11am. The queue doesn’t get any shorter! I saw a Twitpic and spotted some uncles and aunties scrambling around. I don’t know if I wanna fight with that crowd. I guess everyone just can’t wait to get their hands on the collection – can’t blame them right? The collection is selling super well in Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’ll upload the video of the fashion show shortly. Patience is a virtue.

Look Book: Pretty in Sarees

It’s wedding season! I attended two weddings over the weekend – bestie’s and cousin’s. I was one of the bridesmaids for my bestie’s wedding. It is also my first time at an Indian wedding. She bought us all sarees in various colours with the same design. I picked the blue chiffon with silver sequins. Don’t you think we look like Power Rangers? LOL.

I know nuts about this traditional Indian wear especially tying a saree! It can be very tricky if you’re a first timer. I ended up looking like a dumpling when I tried tying it myself. Lucky for us, some experienced Indian aunties helped us with the get up. It’s not easy to walk in a saree but it’s super comfortable. I’ll be heading back to Singapore tonight (back to reality) – more pictures to come on Facebook!

CONGRATULATIONS TO KHOM! (once again)

You’re an amazing bride!

Liu Wen: Victoria Secret’s First Asian Angel

Finally! Liu Wen will be strutting down the runway in sexy lingerie as Victoria’s Secret’s first Asian angel on Dec 1st. It’s about time, I say! I met Liu Wen at the recent Burberry opening at ION Orchard She’s such a sweetheart and incredibly tall. We looked like dwarfs next to her. I can’t wait to see this 21 year old Chinese beauty walked in Victoria’s Secret 14th annual runway show. She only started modeling three years ago – you’ve to admit that she has really earned those wings. Exciting! Here’s a congratulatory toast to the sexy new Angel:
