It is unusual for me to wake up early on Saturday but today is not an ordinary weekend. NIGO, founder of A Bathing Ape launched the highly anticipated Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010 in Singapore at 11am today. Hello Kitty and Baby Milo made a special appearance at the BAPE store – in fact, they flew all the way from Japan! The queue started to form long before I arrive – lucky for me, I got first dips into the collection. I already knew what I want but of course, I was tempted to get more! By noon, almost everything was sold out - WOW! Everyone was only entitled to purchase two items. Judging by the success of the Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010, I bet the Dr. Martens x Sanrio boots will sell like out cakes on 1st September. Mark my words.

Presented by Bottega Veneta, the “Martial Arts Trilogy” was performed by the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Shanghai Philharmonic at the magnificent Expo 2010 Shanghai Cultural Centre. More than 3,000 fans turned up for the exclusive Meet & Greet with Korean star Lee Min Ho (‘Boys Over Flowers’ & ‘Personal Taste’) presented by LG Optimus held at the Grand Ballroom of Marina Bay Sands. Of course, I was one of them but I have the VIP pass! For 2 hours and 10 mins, Lee Min Ho entertained his fans with Q&A, games, autographs and photo sessions – who said life as a Korean celebrity is easy? It’s not!
Min Ho oppa burst into the Grand Ballroom with a handful of roses! He handed them out to fans (particularly, the VIPs!). I didn’t get a rose but I got a firm handshake from his freezing hands! That totally made my day. He wore a sleek, black suit (Trugen, again?) and looking super hot as usual. I could tell that he’s a pretty shy guy from the way he handles himself. I. FINALLY. MET. LEE MIN HO. This is possibly my most ‘starstruck‘ moment this year. Yesterday, Lee Min Ho made a special appearance at the LG Optimus press conference at Marina Bay Sands. I could go on about how gorgeous he is, blah blah blah but let’s cut to the chase, shall we? It seems like the press were more interested in “Lee Min Ho” than LG Optimus. Haha, I’ve to say the press were smart to ask clever phone-related questions such as:
- Have you ever ask a girl for her phone number? How do you do that?
- Who are on your speed dials?
- Did you call Son Ye Jin (lead actress in Personal Taste) to talk about the intimate scenes before performing them?

BoA is back. After 5 years, the “former” Queen of K-pop is back to claim back her throne with her latest MV, Game. Her new album, Hurricane Venus is set to hit the stores on August 2. Every K-pop fan is excited about BoA‘s reinvented style and concept for her comeback. Please, let’s not compare her to Gaga or Rihanna – I think we have enough of those since Lee Hyori‘s H-Logic. I wouldn’t say her new look is particularly impressive – but it suits her. I see a couple of references to Kylie Minogue‘s Can’t You Outta My Head and Madonna‘s Desperately Seeking Susan. That’s about it. It’s all about the fun right?
