Look Book: Take a Trip to Avenue Q!

Yesterday was one hectic, mad day. I had to run multiple errands - bank, school (Fees! Not funny, I’m a few Ks broke now), laundry and dinner with dad. I caught the matinee show for Avenue Q. I didn’t get all dressy dressy for the show as I was running about the entire day. If you haven’t got tickets to Avenue Q, please book the remaining seats now! I promise you two-hours of fun, puppet sex and multiple stitches! I just finished writing my review for channelnewsasia.com - tune in! Meantime, do read my Avenue Q feature here.

Remember this pose? Two words: Karl Lagerfeld.

A closeup on my lil’ bird house necklace.

Spotted: Chinese Anyone? Lunch with Bryan Boy

I was hung over, and stoned from the night before. We promised to meet up for lunch before Bryan Boy leaves for the airport *sobs* It was 12:30pm and we gathered at our meeting spot: Coffee Bean, Wheelock Place before heading down to Hua Yi Kitchen, my lil’ food haunt. We were all kinda tired but elated. Unfortunately, the boys didn’t manage to join us and I bumped into Andrew who joined us for lunch.

Yummy food, and good company.

Dottie and I on the other side of the table!

BB does quality control. Can you blame him?

Till November! We’ll miss you, BB!

I really need to practice my poses, look at my legs and BB’s. The difference!

Singapore Fashion Bloggers Meet Bryan Boy

Pardon me, I’m still stoked at meeting Bryan Boy with the local fashion bloggers last night. This wasn’t planned.  In fact, it was so last minute that I couldn’t believe everything just fell into place. Thanks to Stephie who quickly smsed me about the drink session. We didn’t have everyone’s mobile numbers so we only managed to contact a few. BB is really really really nice, and I had this misconception that he might be a little ‘diva’ but I was so wrong. You’ll be surprise, really. He’s jetting off today back to Manila. BB, we’ll see you very very soon - you promise! Enjoy my very picture-heavy post:

My lame attempt at pouting for camera. BB is such a natural! Jealous.

Stephie and Dottie from Fashion Nation. Hafiz from Streetsnaps.

Me and TraiT. Dinie from Posh Palette. We couldn’t help camwhoring at Klee!

Bloggers playing paparazzi for the day. Can you blame us?

Stephie suggested that we camwhore with “I Love Bryan Boy” sign made by Hafiz.

Woohoo! My declaration of love for BB.

The gang loves BB too. Thanks to Hafiz who prepared it!

Walking along Portsdown Road. No cabs at wee hours!

Stephie, on the phone with Comfort Cab! Alas, we had to walk to AYE to hail for cabs.

Always a moment for camwhoring! Zhiqang and I.

Hafiz and I. He’s a darling!

Dinie’s a cool cat. Very genuine fella.

At Tantric. It’s getting hot in errrrreeee!

The other side of the table. Gettin’ cosy!

Tralalala. The entire group! I love the cheesy background.

Kissy… Kissy…

BB bag by Marc Jacobs and Peggy dress by Swirl. Belt by ZARA.

Hafiz looked like he just won lottery. Stephie got “poked” from behind.

BB making sweet love to a trash bin and err, what’s that thingy?

Oh no, you didn’t! What’s going on?

Another group shot before Tantric management kicked us out.

Black gloves, baby.

Dinie’s bag is really interesting. Look what’s inside!

Random gay dudes. The left one was hitting on BB! Dark-skin one offered a fag.

It was a fantastic night. I had a total blast!! Let’s do this again, ladies and gents.

Bryan Boy is in Singapore!

Welcome to sunny Singapore, BryanBoy!

So, here’s what I’m proposing: A meetup with the fashion bloggers in Singapore, if any of you (and most importantly, BB!) are interested. I think it would great for us to network and show the man around the island - what do you think?

BB, if you’re reading this: Do email me at xwen@fash-eccentric.com because I’ve been a fan of your blog for a long time. It would be awesome to catch up over soy latte and chitchat about fashion!

Depression Bow-Ties and Nose Piercing

OK, I haven’t got the time to blog yesterday since my parents are in town. After our exam, Jan and I head down to Orchard with the school-mates for a quick lunch at Hua Yi Kitchen. Then, we stopped over at Far East Plaza for a ‘little’ bit of shopping. This is kinda our after-exam ritual, haha. Of course, I’ll always dropped by Depression whenever I’m at FEP and the guys are friendly as usual - even assisted in our cam-whoring session!

We’re lovin’ BOW-TIES!

Depression has a cool collection of bow-ties and we couldn’t help cam-whoring in the store with the help of the funky owner! We bought the above and walked out of the store in ‘em. Haha.

Jan’s gynae wears a bow-tie, yes, polka-dot ones too. There are other cute bow-ties that we want as well! No worries, we’ll be popping by Depression some time soon! Do you think we look silly in ‘em? Cuz Bubster met me for dinner and said, “What’s with the silly bow-tie?”

Jan casually said that she wanted her nose pierced! And, we ‘happened’ to past a tattoo and piercing shop at FEP. I was like, “Go do it now!” Jan was chickenin’ out but she managed to find courage in another girl who was considering piercing her tongue. They agreed on a “I’ll do it, if you do it” - and the rest is history.

The Weapons of Mass Destruction. LOL.

Her nose piercer, Adhli. Making his ‘mark’ before the killing. Just kidding.

It’s over! Teary Jan with her new nose stud.

See something interesting? Wait till I upload the video on Youtube!

Behold! The Return of Fash Bash

Fash Bash is back!! This year, the inaugural event is held at the Glass Hall, Singapore Art Museum. In my opinion, this was a much better location than the last one at St. James because I can finally SEE the items for once. I even contemplated bringing a mini-torch due to last year’s experience. Jan and I had a nice morning swim, then lunch before heading down for a quick shop-shop session. Don’t worry, we managed to hit the books in the afternoon. We’re quite happy with our buys - I was avoiding the fitting room at all costs!

See how bright the hall is!

Swirl Girls and I. Peace!

Jan, my study buddy. Such a goof ball.

Ooh, I like. Too ex, so I didn’t buy.

Whoops. Not a flattering photo of Granny’s Day Out.

Cute bags! How can you resist these?

Jan trying her dress on the spot! Who needs changing rooms?

Our fashion buys! Shoes from Bianca and jackets from Baylene at a knock-off price of SGD$50!

Spotted: A spiffy pink-van owned by Glamourpuss. I need a ride!

Vrrrooom!! F1 Singapore GP Party

There’s no party like an F1 Singapore GP party. Firstly, you’ve got to be V.I.P. Then, you’ve to be invited to this A-list party, probably one of the best of 2008. I hope you saw the race last night because it was awesome! Ferrari fans - go cry in at one corner, because Alonso from Renault is the big winner. He’s not just a dark horse for this race, no one would have expected this win! He deserved it, big time. Talk about making ‘history’. Let’s see who’s out partying all night:

Hey pretty ladies. That’s Ong Ai Leng in red and Apple Hong on the far left.

I hear that David Coulthard is quite a player.

Mika Hakkinen lookin’ suave with his missus.

Taiwanese host Xiao S and her partner. Then, Indian actress Mahima Chaudhary.

I love that silver print dress! And, we have the Speed Divas from Force India.

Bring your handsome accessory: Men in White.

Bollywood actresses are spotted with Preity Zinta on the right.

Look Book: It’s Raining Presents!

This morning’s rain was an instant killer! I quickly thought of my rainboots (I think I need more right now) and maybe black tights? Wottoncool and Fashionation have been blogging about their ‘warm’ wears about two days ago. Today, it’s my turn! I finally got to wear my denim dress that I bought from Black Market Art. And, I also received my little package today from bleudame.com - hurrah!! I finally got my two-tone wayfarers (ripped-offs, unfortunately) and my tie-dye scarf. They’re not very expensive, so try shopping with them!
