Fash-Review: Dr.Ci:Labo Skin Care

Have you heard of Dr.Ci:Labo? Honestly, I have never heard of the brand until I receive an invitation to sample their skin care products. Founded by Dr. Yoshinori Shirono, Dr.Ci:Labo products “eliminated all unnecessary ingredients, formulating only those vital to promote the skin’s natural power to preserve its beauty and vitality.” The skin care concept of Dr.Ci:Labo aims to be simple, natural and ultimately, promote healthy skin. The concept is appealing, but did Dr.Ci:Labo meet my fussy skin’s expectation? Read on for Fash-Eccentric‘s review.

Burberry Beauty: The Colour of Brit

It’s about time that Burberry expand their brand into beauty – and the time is now. Inspired by the timeless features of the iconic Burberry trench coat, the Burberry Beauty collection encapsulated the trench’s “functionality, innovation and protective connotations from the elements”. Christopher Bailey extended his imagery of the Burberry girl into the 96-piece collection – her expressions and attitudes. You can’t run away from the Burberry iconic checks when it comes to product design. The colours reference the signature Burberry colour palette – natural, light, timeless and iconic. Just like the British weather (minus the rainy bit). If you love Burberry, watch those makeup counters this September 2010

To laser or not to laser? That’s the BIG question. For the sake of beauty, I put myself forward as a guinea pig to see find out whether laser treatment for skin works (or just full of crap). I swear I’m so fashionable – hahahahahahahaha.

So what’s Medlite C6 Laser? This laser ultimately stimulates collagen production – and it’s a safe, quick procedure to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin. It is a gradual process – you’ll need 4 to 6 treatments, spaced 3 to 5 weeks apart to see optimum results.

Review: Minx Nails with Fash-E’s Readers at Vedure Nailspa

Happy Sunday, my dear readers! I ran a Facebook contest recently on my Facebook Page (just in case, you’re not a fan already!) – and two lucky ones won a Minx Nail session with me. Sakinah and Bernie (winners of the contest!) joined me at Vedure Nailspa, #04-06 Wheelock Place yesterday for almost 3-hours of girlie fun!

Minx Nails is one of the hottest nail trends in Los Angeles – and fans include Lady Gaga (in Telephone, in Just Dance), Katy Perry (see her nails), Rihanna (see her nails), Beyonce, Lily Allen, Fergie, Scarlett Johansson *phew* – just to name a few. Even fashion designers caught on the Minx Nails craze. Customized Minx Nails were created for  Alexander McQueen (Spring/Summer 2010), Diane von Furstenberg, Dries Van Noten, Jonathan Saunders and Marc Jacobs. Read on about how Minx Nails works and see how pretty nails :D

The special Minx Nails heating lamp – unfortunately, they only have ONE! So we’ve to take turns.

We start off the afternoon with a manicure session. It was really lovely!

Review: Mi Plus Placenta Facial Shower Treatment and Win Free Treatments!

It’s quite strange to review a product range that you’ve zero idea about. The only reason why Korea Avenue‘s Mi Plus Placenta range caught my attention is the fact that it uses placenta. Lucky for me, I was exposed to the goodness of placenta at an early age. Thanks to mum’s friends who lived in OZ! So, this is not completely foreign to me. Mi Plus uses “oriental herbal ingredients” to“build skin resilience, aids healing and recovery through cell regeneration and delivers nutritious elements to the skin through prolonged use, improving the overall appearance of your face for a younger and more beautiful you.”

Ultimately, it aims to build your skin’s immune system. Sounds like an awesome deal? The Facial Shower Treatment is currently the hottest thing in Korea – available in more than 3,000 beauty saloons in Seoul alone! But, does it meet Fash-E‘s expectations? Scroll down to find out more!

Fash-Review: Shiseido White Lucent

The face of Shiseido White Lucent: Kill Bill‘s Chiaki Kuriyama

It’s a definitely bold for Shiseido White Lucent skincare range to claim, “Spots diminished in just two weeks”. A month ago, I was invited to the Shiseido White Lucent workshop at this Shiseido office. It was a pleasure meeting Miss Glitzy, Renzze and other bloggers and Cotters at the event. I’m not a stranger to whitening range because I’m obsessed with attaining translucent, fair skin. Of course, I never got any fairer. Contrary to popular belief, whitening skincare is not about ‘whitening’ or ‘bleaching’ your skin. It actually slows down the production of the evil ‘melanin’ cells – gosh, you should see them – they are EVVVVIILLLL!!!

I don’t write about products until I try it – and yes, it took me 14 days to see if the product is for real or not. Read till the end for my verdict. Let me take you through the skincare program for Shiseido White Lucent:
