Since my first experience with Shiseido White Lucent in 2010, I was completely sold. Here’s a trivia, the first Shiseido whitening lotiont was launched in 1917: Hydrogen Peroxide Cucumber until the first generation of the White Lucent’s Concentrated Brightening Serum in 2004. Today, the 5th generation, White Lucent Total Brightening Serum promises “total bright” skin. What’s the ideal skin? Imagine your skin as spotless as silk, lustrous white as pearl, translucent white as crystal, dullness-free as snow and lively pinkish as cherry blossoms. This beautifully radiant white skin tone is achievable with the White Lucent Total Brightening Serum.
So, what’s new? Based on the needs of our ideal skin, this new brightening serum achieves white skin by brightening and whitening all five layers of the skin with new ingredient ProBright 4MR™, which is reinforced with resveratrol. It penetrates quickly, to optimzize the colour condition of each skin layer and achieve the overall ideal white skin tone. The ProBright 4MR™ which impedes carbonylation of collagen, which is the cause of skin tone yellowness. Resveratrol is a type of polyphenol found in red wine which inhibits melanin production, prevent yellowish dullness in the dermis for the ultimate whitening and skin-beautifying effects. To top that, a new fragrance note, Rosenium from Bulgarian rose oil is added with the purpose to inhibit melanin production as well. How to use? Just apply morning and evening, after softening lotion and before moisturizer. Just pump twice to dispense the brightening goodness.
Fash-Review: After 14 days of using the White Lucent Total Brightening Serum, I noticed an evenness in my skin tone. I definitely suffer dull and yellowish skin tone – hence, the difference is pretty obvious. I don’t know if my skin has turned whiter (afterall, I’m Chinese!) but I noticed that I have alight-reflecting radiance when I don’t wear makeup. It gives me the confidence to leave the house with naked skin! I truly love the new Rosenium fragrance and the fact it has a whitening purpose. This is definitely a must-have for those suffering from dull, yellowish skin like myself.
