Dear CURIOUS CATS, you must be wondering what all these ‘posey’ images are about. I’m not building a model portfolio (hahaha) – unfortunately. In fact, I’m starting up an online shop with a good pal/biz partner, Biqing. This has been in the pipeline for more than a year. Due to work commitments, this pet project never really took off. With a lil’ bit of determination, we decided to make it happen. To be honest, we don’t want to be just another blog shop. We’re working hard to provide good quality, excellent service, styling ideas and a good time :D Fashion should be fun and creative right?

This is only the beginning – feel free to tell me what you think (I know I’m not Natasha Poly and I can’t afford her at this point of time!) and what you would love to see, shop, whatever. Biqing and I are thrilled to launch this as soon as possible. This is only a teaser *excited* I hope you will support my team’s hardwork and passion because we really poured our heart and soul into this pet project! THANK YOU IN ADVANCED! More photos to be uploaded on my Facebook Page (Be a FAN!).

Fash-Shop: Uniiko Vintage

You’ve probably read Cherry Magazine – one of Singapore’s fashion blogs. I’m a fan of Nicole’s blog and her cute photography. She’s probably one of the hardest working blogger around – and now, she has expanded her portfolio as the owner of Uniiko Vintage, an online boutique. Nicole styles, shoots, models and sells her fashionable finds – talk about an impressive one-woman-show! Her latest photoshoot entitled, “Uniiko goes to the Beach” features two adorable girls camwhoring and eating burgers by the beach!

So what can you expect from Uniiko Vintage? New, trendy and preloved pieces specially curated and styled by Nicole – so you’ll never run out of clothes to wear! Take a look at some of my favourites:

The Made For Doc Marten dress is sexy and girly!

MJ Vest, too bad it’s sold out! You’ve gotta click fast!

Rugged Bone denim leggings is super versatile!

Shop now at Uniiko Vintage before everything runs dry!

The Mid-Autumn Festival Weekend

Weekends are too short. Don’t you think? Anyway, I had a lovely weekend – catching up with Reena on Saturday, and Andrew on Sunday. I tried studying, but my mind was too active – lotsa things happening! It’s hard to concentrate. I felt bad for skipping my cousin’s wedding on Saturday in KL – sigh. I wouldn’t want anyone bailing out on my wedding day! I’ll make it up to her one day. Anyway, I don’t normally glam up during weekends unless I’m going to a party or something. Here’s how I normally look:

I know. Super unglam! That’s me in my Billabong flamingo shirt, Giordano khaki shorts and S.T.A.M.P. watch. I do fancy my boy’s new ZARA shirt with a french bulldog that says “Oui, I’m French!” LOL. Too much effort to play dress up when I don’t even comb my hair!

After a lovely Sunday brunch at Choupinette, Bubster and I popped by Tierney’s Gourmet for our weekly grocery shopping. Yes, join us at our weekend ritual.

BEST DISCOVERY OF THE WEEK: TETLEY! We thought we never find it in Singapore!

I got these cute mini highlighter pens from Paperchase at Borders. Stationary geek!

It was Mid-Autumn Festival yesterday. I celebrated by chomping down two piggies (well, one for me), yum! Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone. Fashion-related posts will resume from now on.

Blog Shop: Bamboo Stereo

Have you blog-shop before? I certainly have! It’s amazing how it has become such a phenomenon in the recent years – it’s a cheaper alternative to eBay (without the insertion fee, and commission) and an easy peasy way of updating your own shop (without the hassle of managing your own domain). Here’s an idea: I’m going to feature some of my favourite blog shops and key pieces that you should kill for:

If you love vintage-hunting on eBay or avant-garde looks, try Bamboo Stereo for a change. This hidden gem is started by three bamboo junkies from Australia: Tats, Yee and Chelle who love treasure-hunting and share their ‘Powerfashion’ with the world. Well, I’ve to say I’m pretty impressed by their skills and of course, their eye for style. Thanks to Cryst where I discovered this. And, you’ll see what I mean:

I love I love I love. Doesn’t the girl on the left reminds you of Lulu from EverybodyIsUgly? I love the whole look of it – do you know it’s a old skool purple polka dot dress? The bamboo junkies will show you how versatile the clothings are. Plus, that vintage oversized multicolour dress is such a cutie! Sold, unfortunately.

Lookin’ sophisticated in this vintage navy blue and yellow pleated dress with marble motif? This dress is still available for grabs at AUD$40. This vintage black and white tent dress which is uber-cool! I had my eyes on this but it has been reserved, dammit. I like how kooky she looks in the dress, man – I want oversized glasses too!

Floral is the hottest thing this summer. You can look absolutely hippie in this green/multicolour maxi dress or boho-cool in grandma dress with denim vest. Nice pairing.

These are their latest pieces. Somehow, I kinda dig the black and grey checkered shirt. Hmm, must hunt for this somewhere in Singapore (since it has been reserved!). Or get playful in vintage Mister Fred mint cotton dress – I like the flap across the chest. Makes it very different.

I’m surprise this vintage white and blue nautical dress is still available – it would be a bidding war on eBay. If you dig stripes or have sailor-fantasies, you better grab it fast! The other grey dress has an interesting detailing on the back. You know what else is charming? You’ll listen to Apples in Stereo while blog-shopping here – great music, awesome shopping.
