I attended the exclusive UNIQLO SS2010 fashion show yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia with 500 other lucky guests. This fashion show celebrates the opening of their largest store in Southeast Asia. Yes, it is pretty massive! After that, the VIPs and media peeps got into a convoy of buses to preview the store at 313@Somerset. The funny thing is we were greeted by a team of construction workers who were working hard at the finishing touches of the shopping mall.
Everyone literally rushed and grabbed the highly coveted “”collection off the racks. I didn’t wanna overspend (because there is probably an opening sale today – and I was right!)… but I couldn’t help myself and got a couple of pieces from the “” collection. Well, we’ve got SGD$100 to spend courtesy of the good people at UNIQLOThank youuu!
Today, 200 people queued up at the store before its opening time at 11am. The queue doesn’t get any shorter! I saw a Twitpic and spotted some uncles and aunties scrambling around. I don’t know if I wanna fight with that crowd. I guess everyone just can’t wait to get their hands on the “” collection – can’t blame them right? The collection is selling super well in Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’ll upload the video of the fashion show shortly. Patience is a virtue.
Rejoice, UNIQLO fans! On Dec 3rd, UNIQLO store will be opening their third and largest store in South East Asia at 313@Somerset. Better still, the much anticipated “ ” collection designed by Ms Jill Sander will be launched at the store on its opening day. Lucky for me, I was in HK last week to check out the collection in stores. I even managed to buy a pair of dark skinny jeans and purple pin stripe shirt from the “ ” collection. Yay! I was invited by Puma to be part of their “Create Your Style” campaign. What’s my style?I LOVE ICE CREAM! Nom Nom Nom! In fact, I eat so much ice cream – you’ve no idea. I like to think that I’m pretty cool but I melt like crazy if I see something ‘hot’ (like hot shoes!).
I met famed Singapore makeup artist, Clarence Lee (who is also participating in this campaign!) and a super cool dancer, Felix Huang during my photoshoot at Hide & Seek. I’m so thrilled to be a part of this campaign! Watch out for the new Puma store opening at 313@Somerset. You might be spotted to ‘Create Your Style’!
Finally, GG<5 wrapped up Style: Week 2009 on Saturday with a showcase of their Fall/Winter 2009 collection. I’ve to say that I’m pretty impress with their structural yet romantic pieces. A mixture of light lace, leathery-like, sequins and stretchy cotton – I’m sure everyone can find something they love about GG<5. This homegrown label definitely makes sharp yet stylish workwear for the 9-to-5 office rats like me.

Are you ready for a New Look? Fash-E was at ION Orchard for Style: Week 2009 and New Look paraded their latest Fall/Winter 2009 trends out on the catwalk. Let’s do some trendspotting: sequins, animal/vintage floral prints, bright-coloured tights, plaid, leather jacket and knitwear. You can’t go wrong in these style choices. I’ll let the pictures do the talking (it’s like 1am now, I need sleep!):

Fash-Eccentric! was invited to the official opening of Steve Madden outlet at ION Orchard yesterday along with other fashion bloggers such as One Sixty Notepad and TraiT. The Steve Madden Fall/Winter 2009 collection hit the runway outside ION Orchard as part of Style: magazine’s event, Style: Week 2009 – Autumn/Winter Report. Hosted by Class 95 DJ Jean Danker, models strutted down the outdoor runway in the latest season of Steve Madden’s shoes and bags. I’m not sure how feasible fur and booties are in this humid climate but the models were smokin’ hot. Steve Madden is all about discovering emerging artists – local R&B starlet, Alicia Pan who is the music representative of Steve Madden in Singapore, treated us with a hot opening performance. It was HOT, literally… I wish they had mist fans for outdoor fashion events! Enjoy the picture gallery of shoes and bags galore! I braced the heat for these.

Fifi Lapin is definitely going places. I would say she’s the only fashion blogger with the most product collaborations. Well, they don’t call her the “world’s most stylish bunny” for nuts right?
