It is unusual for me to wake up early on Saturday but today is not an ordinary weekend. NIGO, founder of A Bathing Ape launched the highly anticipated Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010 in Singapore at 11am today. Hello Kitty and Baby Milo made a special appearance at the BAPE store – in fact, they flew all the way from Japan! The queue started to form long before I arrive – lucky for me, I got first dips into the collection. I already knew what I want but of course, I was tempted to get more! By noon, almost everything was sold out - WOW! Everyone was only entitled to purchase two items. Judging by the success of the Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010, I bet the Dr. Martens x Sanrio boots will sell like out cakes on 1st September. Mark my words.

For the first time, Sanrio and A Bathing Ape have collaborated on a full collection of clothing, shoes, and accessories featuring Sanrio’s popular characters – Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars, Patty & Jimmy, and of course, A Bathing Ape‘s own BABY MILO. First, Singapore. Now, MALAYSIA! UNIQLO is opening their first store in my home country this fall. The huge 27,000 square feet retail store will be located at the new Fahrenheit 88 shopping complex at Jalan Bukit Bintang. Malaysians, look forward to a variety of UNIQLO items and yes, basics. You’ll love it! I own so many pieces from UNIQLO, it’s ridiculous. Well, what can I say? I’m a fan of the No. 1 Japan casual brand. You can never have enough UNIQLO.

Everyone is talking about 2010 Expo Shanghai, China. Well, it’s not the only thing happening in Shanghai right now. The beautiful Liv Tyler (she is also G-Star RAW’s latest muse) opened the G-Star RAW Gallery in Shanghai on May 28 at Xujiahui area. Her effortless beauty never failed to amaze me. I FINALLY MET HIDETOSHI NAKATA in flesh. You’ve no idea how much I used to crush on him! I followed his career and cheered for Japan in the last two FIFA World Cup. Thanks to Word of Mouth Communications, Fash-Eccentric was invited to the Calvin Klein X Underwear launch event. I almost ‘died’ when I found out that Calvin Klein X Underwear model, Nakata will attend. I became a giggly teenager all over again. The event was held at a warehouse and lit in red. I was in full paparazzi mode before Nakata arrived. I wrestled my way past all the other photographers – all decked in Lefranc Ferrand (thanks to Rouge World) and Chanel bag. I’ve to say I’m pleased with the photos I took with my Olympus EP-L1. Scroll all the wayyy down for my super paparazzi photos of Hidetoshi Nakata and the entire event.

How’s your weekend so far? I attended the TANG+Co Spring Summer Collection 2010 showcase, “Back to Nature” last Friday with Bagaholicboy and Pat Law. It was such an awesome discovery – I didn’t realize TANG+Co brings in brands like Antik Batik, Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, Wayne Cooper, Ginger & Smart and etc. Of course, there’s the BCBG section which I absolutely heart! It was great fun catching up with the bloggers and also the good people from TANGS. Have a look at the Spring/Summer 2010 collection before you have too much fun this weekend.
