Fash-Spotlight: Coco Rocha’s Wedding Gown by Zac Posen

Are you ready for this? Coco Rocha‘s ‘hush-hush’ mermaid wedding gown by Zac Posen is finally revealed to the public. Verdict: Oh So Coco! Gosh, I wish I’m getting married in castle – so I can have a gorgeous, dramatic train! Remember that little preview (2/3 of her “hush-hush” wedding gown) I blogged about in June – well, now we get to see the full picture. Of course, gorgeous as expected! I always love the mermaid silhouette such as Katherine Heigl‘s wedding gown by Oscar de la Renta (Ah, should have been mine!). Congrats again to Coco Rocha and her hubby James Conran!

Daniel Wu and Lisa S: A Secret Wedding in South Africa

Ladies, Daniel Wu is officially off the market (as of April 6)! And yes, he is straight. Congratulations to Daniel Wu and Lisa S, his longtime girlfriend – and now, wife. It was such a beautiful, enchanting wedding that I’ve to blog about it! It is so wonderful to wed secretly in a South African forest. Everything about this wedding is sooo magical. Yes, I’m taking notes. I love how the wedding is so ‘real’ and unpretentious like most celebrities’ weddings. Just a simple exchange of vows and love. Simply beautiful. You’ve done well, Daniel Wu.

Till death do us part: Daniel Wu & Lisa S.

What a happy celebration – I would be thrilled to have a wedding like that!

Lisa S looks super gorgeous and gosh, I love the flowers!

Sunday Wedding Daydreaming

SUNDAY. The only day of the week I dedicated myself to planning my own wedding. To be honest, I just started. At this point of time, I have nothing but daydreams. I bought bridal magazines. I tentatively set two dates (New Zealand & Malaysia). I asked for venue availability. I asked for quotations. Most importantly, I am seeking inspiration. I don’t have a big budget to blow (so, it’s goodbye Oscar de la Renta *sad face*) and I have no wedding planner. Since it’s not a ‘guy’ thing to plan, I’m doing most of it because I’m the bridezilla. Oh yeah, I can be. Right now, here’s something to inspire me and all the brides-to-be out there:

Till tomorrow, I can’t wait for my big day already *beams*

BEST. DAY. EVER.

*psst* I’M ENGAGED! To cut the long story short, Bubster booked a surprise weekend getaway to Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa. I thought it was really sweet of him since we haven’t had time to spend quality time together for the past few weeks. To my amazement, the resort made us felt like we left the country (after a 15-min cab ride from home)! That’s a compliment :D Anyway, I thought it was just a regular weekend getaway (I even skipped my pole graduation for this!). Before I get carried away, let the pictures tell you the story…

The Wedding: Fann Wong & Christopher Lee Finally Hitched!

Singapore’s Caldecott Princess, Fann Wong and her long-time partner, Christopher Lee finally walked down the aisle in the biggest wedding of the year. Well, at least for this part of the world. Yes, the estimated $5 million wedding! Their wedding was broadcasted ‘live’ on Channel 8 at 8pm as part of their reality TV series called, “The Wedding” (doh). Check out the official site for “The Wedding” – no kidding. This is probably the most anticipated wedding since Tony Leung tied the knot with Carina Lau. The wedding bash was held in Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore and 900 lucky guests were invited. According to CNA, Fann Wong was “resplendent in her Bollywood-inspired gown worth S$300,000, while the groom was suited up by Italian label Ermenegildo Zegna“. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find high-res images online (since the news is still ‘hot’) – but it’s always a pleasure to share happy wedding photos from earlier. Let’s toast to the happiest couple of 29 September 2009 :D

J. Crew Walks Down the Aisle

It’s February! Love is definitely in the air. I was delighted to see J. Crew‘s new wedding line and campaign looking young, fresh, modern and incredibly lovely! Forget designer dresses, and save your $$$ for a good honeymoon. J. Crew got alot of press recently – thanks to Mrs. O. If it is good enough for the First Lady, it is good enough for you! Enjoy the lovely campaign:

Bride Wars: Not One, But Two Bridezillas

Ladies, don’t you love the occasional chick flick? It’s my secret indulgence although I hate to admit it. This not going to get an Oscar nod but it should being alot of laughs and fun. Bride Wars (starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway) tells the story about two best friends turned bridezillas who fight for their perfect wedding. I can’t wait to see bridal fashion. No wedding bells for me, but I like being nosy and you know, plan ahead. There should be great ideas from Bride Wars‘ costume designer Karen Patch who created the looks behind the characters. I’m sure Bride Wars will be nice and fluffy.

Liv (Kate Hudsun) in Marchesa. Emma (Anne Hathaway) in J. Crew.

Ooh, sweetheart dress. Custom-made by Vera Wang.

This is for the romantics. Who else, but Vera Wang.

Liv in Burberry trench. Love the green Vera Wang trench.

Emma in Hugo Boss jacket. Liv in Dolce & Gabbana.

Play this cute Bride Wars game! Punched out your competition. Highly addictive!

Bride Wars opens in Singapore on 29 Jan 2009.

Congrats! Tony Leung & Carina Lau’s Wedding in Bhutan

FINALLY! The most anticipated wedding of the year: Tony Leung (arguably, one of the best Asian actors) & Carina Lau have tied the knot in a beautiful, majestic wedding ceremony in the Himalayan nation, Bhutan. You know this has to be fantabulous when you have renowned director, Wong Kar-Wai as your wedding ‘curator’. That is sooo rare to the point that it will never happen again (unless he decided to venture into the bridal business). The wedding photos were released yesterday by Jet Tone Films and I’ve got to say, I teared a little. This is real love.

The happy couple. It’s as though they haven’t age a bit.

Carina Lau in Vera Wang dress. And, ooh I love the five-tier wedding cake! Pretty! She is also wearing her 12-carat Cartier wedding ring, worth over 10 million Hong Kong dollars.

Aww. This photo is amazing!

I read in the Newpaper today that Fann Wong and Christopher Lee might have theirs in the Himalayas! Copy cats!

They had a traditional Buddhist ceremony, as it is the officially recognised in Bhutan. Congrats!!
