adidas by Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2010

One of my favourite shoes is my silver trainers from adidas by Stella McCartney. It was a birthday present from Bubster two years ago. I wore that pair to death, like literally. I’ve always been a fan of Stella McCartney‘s collaboration with Adidas. She makes the cutest tennis outfits – and I don’t even play tennis! Best of all, I love how eco-conscious her clothing are. The latest adidas by Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2010 collection is made with 100% organically grown cotton and sustainable materials. Check out the sexy and vivacious Gym Studio collection this season – it is bound to make you pick up the dumbells!

Is this super hot sportswear or not?

Lee Hyori Loves Adidas Original by Original Jeremy Scott in Vogue Korea

It’s all about Lee Hyori in K-pop world lately. Needless to say, I’ve been spinning her latest album, H-Logic nonstop on my iPhone. Yes, I absolutely heart Lee Hyori.

In May 2010 issue of Vogue Korea, Lee Hyori 이효리 is decked up in what I’d like to call, “sports couture”. I noticed the current Korean obsession with Adidas Original by Original Jeremy Scott line. First, girlband 2NE1 during Seoul Fashion Week 2010. Then, Lee Hyori‘s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang MV. Lastly, I spotted the Adidas Original by Original Jeremy Scott First Star Track Pants on Son Ye Jin in Personal Taste as her funky homewear! I guess it is an excellent marketing effort to elevate sportswear to ‘high fashion’. Does it work? Maybe. We shall see.

That is one fierce jacket! The gown is by Kenneth Pool Couture by Amsale.

You definitely have seen this “Madonna Bra” on Seo In Young at Seoul Fashion Week.

This looks soooo wrong. LOL.

In The Mood for Charity: Rodarte x Maggie Cheung

Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung inspired many artists. In the name of charity, Rodarte team a.k.a. sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy have designed four exclusive hand-made pieces in a collaboration with Joyce Boutique in HK. “She is as amazing as the mythical place we were inhabiting for the week,” the sisters said of Cheung and Hong Kong. These Maggie Cheung tribute pieces were inspired from four of her films: In the Mood For Love, Hero, Clean and Heroic Trio. To add a little sparkle, Swarovski crystals are also featured in each of the four dresses.

If you would like to give back to the community in style, these dresses will  be auctioned off to raise funds for UNICEF.

Hong Kong famed photographer/film maker Wing Shya directed a visually beautiful short film with the Mulleavys to depict Maggic Cheung‘s films.

Patricia Field x Keith Haring

Patricia Field x Keith Haring

Famed SATC stylist, Patricia Field collaborated with the man who commercialized graffiti art, Keith Haring to create a line called Keith Haring for House of Field. Not the man himself, but his art. The late Keith Haring has worked with Madonna, Grace Jones, Bill T. Jones, William Burroughs, Timothy Leary, Jenny Holzer, Yoko Ono and Andy Warhol throughout his career. His works may be criticized and praised over the years – no doubt he has produced some of the iconic visual arts in the 20th century. I’m personally diggin’ the limited edition plastic magazine clutches as shown above. You may also want to check out the silk scarfs as shown below. Well, let’s add that to my Christmas wish-list.

SpongeBob Turns Gold with Kaiser’s Touch

Do I look like someone you know?

The Kaiser strikes again! This time, Karl Lagerfeld dressed SpongeBob SquarePants as the Kaiser himself. First, you can buy your Tokidoki x Karl Lagerfeld - now, you’ve got the SpongeBob version. Kaiser has hit the jackpot in the toy industry! This special SpongeBob x Kaiser figurine “attracted the highest bid at a recent Paris fundraiser for WWF, generating 1,000 euros, or about $1,500 at current exchange”. It’s all in the name of charity :D

Dec 14. Jimmy Choo for H&M.

jimmy-choo-hm-2

How I wish I’m in Hong Kong this weekend. Trust me, I don’t enjoy queuing but it would be nice to take a look at the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection. I’ve to admit that the collection is not ‘that’ affordable. Hey, it’s Jimmy Choo on a shoestring! What more can you ask for? I’m not hot about the clothes but I am digging those heels.

Here’s a peek at their advertising campaign – but then, you might already seen it. I’m in Penang right now for the weekend with Bubster and his parents. Yay! Good ol’ Malaysian food always makes me happy :D

I Heart UNIQLO “+J” Collection

Rejoice, UNIQLO fans! On Dec 3rd, UNIQLO store will be opening their third and largest store in South East Asia at 313@Somerset. Better still, the much anticipated collection designed by Ms Jill Sander will be launched at the store on its opening day. Lucky for me, I was in HK last week to check out the collection in stores. I even managed to buy a pair of dark skinny jeans and purple pin stripe shirt from the collection. Yay! If you want to preview the latest Spring 2010 UNIQLO collection, you can win an exclusive invitation to a very special fashion show on Dec 2nd HERE! It is probably their biggest fashion show to date at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore‘s Grand Ballroom. I’m going to be there! ARE YOU?

First Look: Comme des Garçons x The Beatles

bag-comme-des-garcons-beatles

Comme des Garçons x The Beatles

Has Rei Kawakubo bitten the poison apple? The new collaboration between Comme des Garçons x The Beatles may be an odd marriage but it is definitely worth exploring. I personally prefer structured bags for daily use, but this one is a strange puppy. I mean, what do you expect from Rei Kawakubo right? I like how the Apple Corps logo blends in with the signature polka dots. There is a no-leather policy (as you know, Sir Paul McCartney is a vegan himself)… hence, the 10 large-format items will be made in Japan from “embossed polyurethane or printed PVC and detailed with metal grommets, embossing and cords”.

To be launched on Nov 27, the prices ranges from around $115 for a T-shirt up to $860 for the most expensive bag. Pretty affordable, I must say. I can’t wait to see the entire collection – now, who wants to help me buy? *bambi eyes*
