I wonder why I’ve never heard of Japanese Streets. It’s a street style blog which catalogs funky, chic Japanese people since 2002. Talk about super overdue! Started by photo-journalist Kjeld Duits, Japanese Streets was probably the first Japanese street style blog, even more – one of the first fashion blogs ever existed. Currently, there are more than 20,000 photos archived and his team of photographers have expanded since. I love the clean layout of the blog and its very well-organized content. You might smack me for not discovering it earlier – but hey, there’s always a first for everyone no?

SUPER DIVA!

Her beaded butterfly bag is too kawaii!

At 3:00am yesterday. BB and I camwhored once in the taxi.
Bryanboy is in town again! As I’m typing this, he’s at Club 21‘s Marc Jacobs event at Artspace @ Helutrans. I decided to stay home (sorry, BB!) and catch up on some zzzs. The funny thing was… we didn’t plan to meet yesterday. I read his Twitter about finding gay bars at Bencoolen Street. I asked if he was around the area… and it turned out that he was putting up at Ibis Hotel @ Bencoolen (just opposite my apartment!). Hello neighbourrr… So we decided to meet up for a couple of drinks in Tanjong Pagar area.
So, that’s my story! I’ll miss you BB – do come back to Singapore!
Here’s a new blogger in town from Down Under: Auckland Street Style. I’ve been to Auckland a few times now. I love the city – it’s relaxing actually. Unfortunately, I’ve not spent enough time to observe the street style in this lovely city. It’s nice to be inspired by the relaxed city peeps – a breath of fresh air if you ask me. Here are some stylish Aucklanders who are seen without their ‘jandals’ and board shorts:

Fifi Lapin is definitely going places. I would say she’s the only fashion blogger with the most product collaborations. Well, they don’t call her the “world’s most stylish bunny” for nuts right? First, LeSportsac and now, Forever 21. You can buy her raglan T-shirts from the Forever 21 online store right now. The T-shirts retail at USD$18.90 (not a bad deal right?).
It’s a beautiful Saturday! I’m going for two fashion events later at ION Orchard. Watch out for my blog post! Enjoy your weekend and get an ice-cream!

One Sixty Notepad in August ’09 Style magazine
I’m a big fan of One Sixty Notepad‘s illustrations – I’m so happy to see them being featured in next month’s STYLE magazine. Congrats! I wish I have their artistic talents, jealous jealous. One Sixty Notepad is the brainchild of best buddies, Ridhwan and Dinie. Watch out for these talented duo – they are going to conquer the world! Well, I have faith in them. Here’s a preview of what you can expect from their blog:

I love their sexy photos – now who’s the shoe whore?

Is that a telephone cord? Ingenious!

His face is perfect. From WOODS & WOODS A/W 09 show.
Do check out their blog today!

There’s nothing new about Lulu and Your Mom – I’m sure you’ve heard of her or read her blog. Today, her outfit post is worthy of a mention. WHY? Because I’ve always wanted to colour my hair in uber-light tones. You can say, very Japanese. Also, I like what she put together today – the tangerine vest, grey mini, giant striped cardigan and black boots (her staple, in case you didn’t notice). Usually it’s the whole black and white and metallic accessories.
It’s nice to see a change.
First, Bryanboy had a bag named after him. Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast is designing for RVCA. Before you know it, fashion bloggers totally rule the world. Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes has designed a capsule collection with Urban Outfitters called, ‘J. Aldridge for Urban Outfitters‘. Here’s a first look at her collection – yay or nay? You decide.

not bad, but nothing unfamiliar.

hmm… not a fan.
Recognize our faces?
