Spotted: Girl with Tattoo Stockings

(Photo: Facehunter)

I remember Wottoncool going all ga-ga over patterned stockings. I’m pretty intrigued by this blondie’s tattoo stockings. It’s literally drawn with amazing art all over. Totally sweet!

Australian Fashion Week Loves Bloggers

(Photo: Edwina Pickles)

The Age reported, “THERE was a time when fashion’s front row was strictly reserved for powerful fashion editors, the world’s most influential fashion buyers and headline-grabbing famous faces, but at Australian Fashion Week a new breed of fashion power broker joined the A row — bloggers.” No doubt, fashion bloggers can play ‘Anna Wintour‘ in their own game, and reach out to even more readers than Vogue magazine.

Elite bloggers such as Bryanboy, Matthew Jordan from Imelda and etc. were invited to lovely Sydney to report the event from front row seats. Talk about getting up-close and personal with models, designers and who’s who in the fashion biz in Down Under! And, collecting yummy goodie bags.

The question is: When are Singapore Fashion Bloggers getting similar recognition? Well, give us tickets to the premiere of Sex and the City movie at least! LOL.

SFF08: cK Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 2008

It’s a wrap at this year’s Singapore Fashion Festival. So far, we’ve seen a range of minimalistic designs from Qiu Hao, and Thomas Wee. And now, cK’s Creative Director, Kevin Carrigan. The cK Calvin Klein’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection played with minimalism and simplicity. The colours are soft, “light tones of gray, taupe, pink, orange & blue (plus) plenty of white & champagne tones”. Scroll down and feast your eyes on what you’ve missed at yesterday’s show:

Bright Lights
There is so much to love about the fluidity of the fabric, and illuminating colours. As the models walked down, the pieces flow so beautifully, and seamlessly down the runway - you couldn’t help but gawk and fall in love with Kevin’s work.

Chic & Short
cK
is all about the everyday woman. It’s chic, sophisticated and wearable for the urban fashionista. I particularly love these two tube dresses, especially the one in grey hue, and strappy heels.

Pretty in Pink
I love pink - but not excessively. This is an excellent example for the usage of such a bold colour, for a simple design. Clean lines, which I totally love.

Black Dress, Bright Shoes
Oh yes, I heart those strappy shoes! Another innovative lil’ black dress which I can’t get enough of. This season redefined the classic black dress for spring/summer - just add a splash of colours to your feet and you’re ready for summer.

Sparkle ‘n’ Dazzle
These cute dresses definitely jazz up the evening! I love the babydolls even though the sparkling effect might prove to be too much for some.

Gorgeous Grey
There is something elegant and unique about cK’s separates. I particularly love the off-shoulder grey piece that exudes a certain confidence through its design.

Not Your Average Black Number
Yes, more black dresses. I think I’m going through a phase! To be honest, I don’t think I owned the perfect lil’ black dress. I’m going to start my lil’ black dress collection and nobody can stop me!

Hint: I finished my examsss! *skips around in pink bunnie slippers* It’s freedom for the next 3 weeks.

SFF08: Rapunsale SFF End Party Fashion Show/Bazaar

“Rapunsale, Rapunsale
Let down your hair
So I may climb
To bring you something to wear”

OK, Fash-E was at The Loof. The funny thing is, we didn’t stay for the fashion show which we later saw from Raffles Hotel that it looks jaw-droppingly cool in the glass display. However, we did go for the rooftop shopping bazaar - which was fun, but a little crampy due to lack of walking space. The trio (Moe Moe, Reena and yours truly) just strolled around but we didn’t manage to find anything we want. I quite like this dress from Hansel - but it was the sticky, humidity that turned us away (which is why we didn’t come back for the show!). And, we went for Vietnamese food along Seah St (Va Va Voom, if I remember correctly). Now I wish I had tried on the dress - at the very least. Sigh, why this dissonance?

More updates about our whereabouts. Hint: Camwhoring at Raffles Hotel.

SFF08: Fash-E @Redken Tribe Show

Here’s the story: I won a ticket to the Redken Tribe show from Asiaone (Thanks to Cynthia!). To be honest, I wanted to win the backstage passes to Thomas Wee but, nevermind. I’ve never been to a hair show before so it was quite an eye-opening experience! It’s amazing to see the hair stylists work their magic on the runway. This year, Redken has chosen Eunice Olsen as their brand ambassador and I’ve to say, she really worked the runway! Well, they say it’s where “inspirational hair meets entertainment” - I couldn’t agree more.

The VIP lounge. Drink. Drink. Be Merry.

The Asiaone winners & Cynthia (to my right - if you know which is me, doh)

Everyone warming up their seats for the show. And ooh, the runway!

Don’t we love goodie bags? I’m just fortunate to get my Evian! We moved to the 2nd row after this shot.

The double trouble team. Hair maestros take on the runway to showcase their skills.

Imagine the pressure. All eyes are on you. As I watched him snip snip, the more I want that hair.

Poor lil’ thing. I wouldn’t want to be in her ‘hot seat’. I’ve to say, the Kiwi has showmanship!

Finally… the models and their finished, gorgeous hair.

Whee! Sparkly bits falling on top of us! I’m surprise at my ability to capture moments. Awesome show.

When everyone was squeezing their way out, we managed a camwhore moment.

Strike a pose! The AsiaOne photographer (I think he’s Benjamin) wanted to take a picture of the winners.

I want to have big, poufy hair and I absolutely heart the short crop hair. Must grow bangs.

SFF08: Sex-Y in the City

This is the only show that I wish I had invites for, haha. For very obvious sex-y reasons. Men parading in tight whities and boxer shorts. NICE. Unfortunately, my boy wouldn’t have like that but it’s for “work” reasons. Sex-Y in the City is for both women and err, some men to drool over. I have to admit that me knowledge on men’s underwear is very limited but I know my Calvin Kleins to my Renoma. Scroll down for more drool-worthy pictures for your lovely Saturday:

John Galiano

Oh yeah, pull it down lower buddy! I don’t really like Y-fronts - I prefer these fitted boxer-like ones. Haha, I don’t even know the proper term! What do you call those things?

Emporio Armani

I love the styling for this! Uber-cute! Haha, booties, with elf-like hat and collar & tie combi. This is a bedroom fantasy. Eh-hem, only on the right man. YUM YUM.

Everlast

You want some Nacho Libre? Of course, these guys look yummier than Jack Black. With capes, and masks, and boxing gloves. I love thiiiiiissss!

2xist

The styling for 2xist is more radical, and bold. Definitely some drama elements in here. I couldn’t really focus on the “front” as I’m more distracted by the whole look. Very European, though.

Punto Blanco

This is prolly my favourite men’s underwear of the lot. I love the stripes and colour combination - very fresh and of course, it’s very different than than the usual white, black, red, grey zzz…

Renoma

Don’t we all love men in a nice suit? Well, without the pants too. I can’t help but laugh at the knee-length socks - very very ‘uncle’-like. But very adorable. I always tease my boy about men-in-socks. That red Renoma looks very familiar… hmm.

DKNY

Men in capelets! Why didn’t anyone think of that. These Great Gatsby-inspired looks definitely left me in awe. Then again, it’s DKNY. Maybe I should consider getting those purple undies - they actually look quite hot on him.

SFF08 Event: Rapunsale SFF End Party Fashion Show

Are you going to be there?

Fash-E! will be at Rapunsale SFF end party fashion show and Redken Tribe 08 show at Tent@Orchard.

If you’re there, say “hi”… photos to come. Yum Yum.

SFF08: Carlos Miele Spring/Summer 2008

Everytime I play word association with “Brazil”, I think VS models, samba and sexy sexy bikini bodies. Carlos Miele integrates his Brazillian culture and art into his creations “with cutting-edge technology and handcrafted luxury”. It’s no wonder that A-list stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock, Eva Longoria and Heidi Klum keep asking for more!

Sea of Blue
The brazillians love their sea and lounging by the beach. The colours of sea blue just spring out of the runway, and I simply love the flow of the fabric, and gorgeous colours. Fash-E’s favourite is definitely the off-shoulder mini dress. Just look at the swirls of different shades of blue, and grey - ooh, absolutely love it!

Nude & Neutral
As you can see, Carlos Miele doesn’t clashes his colours. He keeps his colour scheme very close to one another. The macrame dress paired with the bikini underneath is fabulous for the summer. The silhouette is really pretty. It’s all about the little details in his designs as you can notice the champagne skirt with crochet texture. Very subtle, quiet and charming.

Of Details & Texture
You can see why his designs are showcased in the The Metropolitan Museum of Art. His collection is almost like a work of art. The layering & crochet creates an impeccable texture to the dress, that adds quality and sultriness to his work.

Clean Lines
I’ve always admired clean designs. I hate clutter (It’s embedded in my personality) but I love organized chaos. However, these evening gowns made an impressive impact with its sexy silhouettes & clean lines. Even the pewter, light grey and white colours are gorgeous. Very red-carpet worthy & you definitely won’t end up in Go Fug Yourself.

Colours & Prints
Fancy dresses that are more Brazillian-like and ultra-spicy? His flamboyant culture and Brazillian rhythm is expressed through these exuberant designs. He makes them flirty, loud and very feminine. My focus is drawn to the middle piece, bright blood orange sweetheart dress with rosette applique. What a stunner.

Mini-Me
Enough of maxi dresses and evening gowns! Snip it short, and go mini with these cute pieces. It’s amazing how he could send his models down in flat thongs! His designs certainly embrace the beach, relaxed lifestyle of Brazil. Ahh, I am dreaming of Sao Paolo, white sand beaches and pina colada.
