Wet Wet Sunday Flea at Haji Lane

It was a wet wet Sunday – but everyone was at the Sunday Flea @Haji Lane.

Why were wedding photos on sale?

I wish I have such a cool ride.

Let me give you a hand or my two cents worth.

It was packed with peeps.

Everything was on sale.

I couldn’t help looking at menswear.

Melbourne in Transit

10:20AM: Rong picked me up from Melbourne airport. Glad the weather was nice and hot.

11:00AM: It’s not my lunch. Her gnocchi and pumpkin looks better in photos.

11:35AM: We left Trotters. I had a good latte and lentil burger. Anything but airplane food.

12:00PM: Seeing Melbourne. I spy interesting buildings.

12:12PM: Camwhoring while waiting for the City Circle Tram for a quick look-see.

12:20PM: The Customs never look so funky.

12:30PM: Flinders Street Station. An iconic building. Hopped off the tram.

12:45PM: The Melbourne city skyline. Rong’s hubby reckoned it’s a joke. LOL.

12:52PM: The Sunday Art Centre Market. I wish I could explore a little bit more.

12:53PM: I fell in love with these handmade brooches. Statements by Susan Gyori.

1:02PM: Something touristy that I want to ride on.

1:15PM: Stopover for Trampoline gelato. Lemon Lime Bitters is the best flavour ever.

1:30PM: National Gallery of Victoria.

1:40PM: Crossing over to the Botanical Gardens.

2:00PM: The concept behind this building’s design is based on crumpled tissue paper.

2:20PM: Inside the St Paul’s Cathedral, a beautiful Anglican church.

2:35PM: Art on the walkway. Very inspiring, and cheap.

2:45PM: This guy is amazing. I’m not sure what he’s playing. It looks like a Chinese wok.

5:00PM: Adios, Melbourne. I’ll be back. I left my favourite biker jacket in Rong’s car. It’s a sign.

Note: NZ photos are still in NZ! The boy kept my memory card, hmm. Will be up this weekend.

“Don’t Break The Bank” Edition @Fash Bash

Say hello to the return of shopping madness! Fash Bash returns at a brand new (my much preferred location) venue, The Cathay. Yesterday, I braved the crowds for a not-so-quick shopping adventure at the “Don’t Break The Bank” edition. I’ve to say, I really hate squeezing through the crowd. Mum and sis tagged along as well. I managed to snag the Sophia dress from Swirl. I tried checking out Baylene and Hansel but fighting through the crowd proved to be too much effort. Here are some snapshots from yesterday’s madness:

This is only 1/4 of the entire Fash Bash.

Swirl stall, and vintage lovin’.

Good deals? You bet.

The rush for style. Until the next Fash Bash!

Behold! The Return of Fash Bash

Fash Bash is back!! This year, the inaugural event is held at the Glass Hall, Singapore Art Museum. In my opinion, this was a much better location than the last one at St. James because I can finally SEE the items for once. I even contemplated bringing a mini-torch due to last year’s experience. Jan and I had a nice morning swim, then lunch before heading down for a quick shop-shop session. Don’t worry, we managed to hit the books in the afternoon. We’re quite happy with our buys – I was avoiding the fitting room at all costs!

See how bright the hall is!

Swirl Girls and I. Peace!

Jan, my study buddy. Such a goof ball.

Ooh, I like. Too ex, so I didn’t buy.

Whoops. Not a flattering photo of Granny’s Day Out.

Cute bags! How can you resist these?

Jan trying her dress on the spot! Who needs changing rooms?

Our fashion buys! Shoes from Bianca and jackets from Baylene at a knock-off price of SGD$50!

Spotted: A spiffy pink-van owned by Glamourpuss. I need a ride!

Look Book: Sunday Buys & Black Market Art

I know, I went shopping at Black Market Art yesterday. What did I get? I got a denim romper and a $2 second-hand straw bag! It’s $2 – I can’t help it. Haha. I normally don’t find anything I want at flea markets – but this time, it’s different. I even bumped into my lovely cafeteria lady, Jay and her family. Talk about coincidence!

Haha, I can’t help but pose for outfit photos. Haven’t done this in awhile!

Denim Romper and Yellow Straw Bag from Black Market Art. Necklace from Diva. Blue Patent Wedges from Charles & Keith. Baby Blue Retro Sunnies from HK.

Now, stop staring at my boobs. It’s quite decent quality for the price!

This is my $2 find! Haha, not really sure if it’s pretty or not. But it’s interesting.

I bought these awhile ago (maybe a month?) to train myself to walk in heels. Let’s call this stiletto for beginners. So far, I only wore this ONCE. I’ve got a long way to go before I get a pretty pair of Manolos.

I also bought myself a new watch called Shading Bow from Swatch. I know, why Swatch? I just love the black shiny strap and the adorable bow. It’s cute – I couldn’t help it. Ooh, my pocket has a teeny weeny hole now.
