I’m tempted to pick up my drawing pen again. It has been ages since I last drew.

Let’s divert from fashion to art for a moment. On the first day, I was mesmerised by the artworks of indie/modern Japanese artists at Funky802 Digmeout Exhibition 2009 in the infamous Sony Building in GInza. Just a brief background, “digmeout” is an art project organized by Osaka’s radio station FM802 to dig-out and support fresh talented artists to kick start their art career. I think it’s a brilliant idea especially when there are so many talents brewing in this country. Everyone wants to be discovered and this is the perfect platform for the Japanese young artists to showcase their works. So far, I was ultra-impressed!
There is a reason why Harper’s Bazaar‘s ad pages have increased as compared to US Vogue, or W magazine. How can you not be fascinated by these recreation of art pieces by Julianne Moore in the new issue of HB? Photographed by Peter Lindberg, do check ‘em out:

I was watching Miami Ink last Sunday night and I developed an enormous girl crush on Natalia Fabia. I’m in love with her art, her style and HER as an individual – she’s simply amazing! Basically, she was a client at Miami Ink and she got this gorgeous chandelier tattooed on her back (as seen below) by Tim Hendriiks, the new but very talented tattoo artist on the show.
Miami Ink showcased Natalia’s art works on the show which got me immensely intrigued with this amazing artist. Now, I wanna know everything about her. Here are some of her works and I’m planning to buy this print of the lady in the red tub. Enjoy.
This goes into my future studio (yes, I’ll have my own studio).
I like how she captured the lighting details. Beautiful.
Her earlier work. Most of ‘em are situated in parties and clubs.
Women at their most glamorous positions. LOL.
Beautiful. Natalia has a fascination for hookers.
Sexy Paris.
Definitely one of my faves. Amazon girl.
Talk about cute. I recently discovered Fifi Lapin. What or Who is that? According to the blog, “Hi, I’m Fifi. Fifi Lapin. I was born one of 257 brothers and sisters but sadly there was an outbreak of myxamatosis when I was one year old and I was the only one that survived. My parents are therefore incredibly protective of me and spoil me rotten. I’m an haress to my fathers fortune which he made playing fast and loose with carrot and lettuce shares on the international stock market. There are a lot of rabbits out there so I guess he just struck gold (or orange you might say). Some people think I’m just a socialite but I think there is more to me than just an extremely stylish clotheshorse!”
Haha. I like the simple bunny illustration. Makes me want to get my pens out and start doodling! Maybe after my exam. I’ve set up a new blog recently – it’s my mission to get fit and tone up the body. You can check my fitness blog at My Secret Fitness Diary. No, I’m not neglecting Fash-E, I just need a blog to motivate me!
