Fash-E’s Best Dressed: 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards

I was on the bus, looking at the red carpet photos from the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards this morning on my way to work. Thank goodness for iPhone! Let’s see, this year we spotted old-Hollywood glamour, various textures, navy hues and lotsa sparkles! For the “Ultimate” Best Dressed, I can’t decide whether I like January JonesVersace or Anna Paquin‘s Alexander McQueen better… there’s no way I can pick only ONE! Here are my favourites from the 2010 Emmys red carpet:

ELECTRIFYING! I <3 everything about this metallic blue, textured gown by Versace.

Anna Paquin stands out in this bold gold/black Alexander McQueen number.

Best Dressed: 2010 Tony Awards

It’s all about Broadway at the 2010 Tony Awards. But it was the Brits that took the stage. Bravo! Catherine Zeta-Jones took the best actress in a musical in ‘A Little Night Music’. And the list goes on. Here, I’m a little more interested in the red carpet style and let’s see who made it to my Best Dressed list:

Lea Michele is en route in becoming the next fashion star in this sunny Zac Posen gown.

Red Carpet: 29th Hong Kong Film Awards

Bodyguards and Assassins is the big winner at last night’s 29th Hong Kong Film Awards. Congratulations to all the winners! Of course, Fash-E is more interested in the red carpet “hits” and “misses”. I try not to blog about the “misses” since they are not worth the ‘space’. I wish I had more information about the outfits on the red carpet. Here are some of my favourites (with some misses in between – guess!) from last night’s red carpet:

My vote for Best Dressed Female: Lynn Xiong

Winner for Best Supporting Actor, Nicholas Tse in Bottega Veneta.

Shu Qi and Chang Chen make a stylish couple.

Best Dressed: 2010 Golden Globe Awards

MONDAY. MONDAY. MONDAY. I need some sparkling pretty things and thank goodness, there’s the 2010 Golden Globe Awards. My light at the end of the Monday tunnel :D Oh, GLEE won Best Television Series (Comedy or Musical) – yay! It has been a long day, I just can’t wait to get into bed. Here are some eye-candies before my slumber party:

Golden-Globe-2010-Diane-Kruger

I can’t say how much I adore Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix. Hands down, she’s my fave!

Golden-Globe-2010-Anna-Paquin

Woah! I’m instantly drawn to Anna Paquin‘s Stella McCartney gold number – are you?

Golden-Globe-2010-Carey-Mulligan.preview

The new “IT” girl in town, Carey Mulligan looks super cute-chic in this Nina Ricci navy gown and ooh ooh, I love her rhinestone headband.

Golden-Globe-2010-Olivia-Wilde

Olivia Wilde is effortlessly sexy in this shiny gunmetal Gucci gown. My red carpet favourite.

Golden-Globe-2010-Jennifer-Garner

A lil’ understated but I love Jennifer Garner’s Versace gown with sequin details.

Golden-Globe-Ginnifer-Goodwin

Ginnifer Goodwin keeps her dress short and chic in a cobalt draped dress. Love!

Golden-Globe-2010-Jayma-Mays

I LOVE GLEE. And, Jayma Mays took a chance with this strapless B&W architectural confection.

Golden-Globe-2010-Dianna-Agron

Glee‘s Dianna Agron is a stunner for a first-timer in her strapless silver chiffon gown.

Golden-Globe-2010-Rose-Byrne

I did say purple is the new black. Rose Byrne goes vintage-y in pretty plum Lanvin.

Red Carpet: Primetime Emmy Awards 2009

I woke up this morning at 10am and switched on the TV. It’s the Primetime Emmy Awards! I’m super forgetful these days. I switched to E! Entertainment to watch the exclusive red carpet coverage. It’s amazing to have a little glitz and glamour fix in the morning (screw caffeine!). I’m thrilled that Mad Men & 30 Rock both won big prizes tonight. Let’s shift our attention to the beautiful ladies and their gowns at the red carpet:

Is that Sasha Fierce? I like the details on January Jones geometric strapless gown.

Olivia Wilde – WOW! Enough said.

Rose Bryne looks strikingly beautiful in this beige crystal-embellished tulle gown.

Simple yet chic.

Debra Messing is turning heads with this blood orange one-shoulder gown.

Leighton Meester channels Marilyn Monroe in this sexy number!

Lindsay Price looks delish in this plum number. Kudos to the vintage brooch!

This is such a killer gown! Alicia Witt owns this one.

Indie-fave, Chloe Sevigny goes retro in this white one-shouldered polka-dotted gown.

Jennifer Love Hewitt glows in this sunshine chiffon gown. Love the California-lovin’ hair!

Heavily pregger Heidi Klum stuns me in this black strapless Marchesa gown.

Red Carpet: The September Issue Premiere

I tweeted about catching the red carpet of The September Issue ‘live’ yesterday but I failed to wake up in time! Ah well… Anyway, I’ve read the awesome reviews about Anna Wintour‘s The September Issue – can’t wait for the film to make its way to Singapore! Let’s see the who’s who that graced the red carpet at the premiere of the much-anticipated fashion event of the year:

Sienna Miller in Thakoon

Renee Zellweger in Carolina Herrera

Anna Wintour & Donna Karan

Bee Shaffer

Raquel Zimmermann

Tory Burch in Narciso Rodriguez

Karlie Kloss & Jason Wu

Chanel Iman in Versace

Carey Mulligan in Thakoon

Alexa Chung in vintage.

Vera Wang

The Maybelline girls.

Red Carpet: More of Cannes Film Festival 2009

Yes, the list of best-dressed celebrities and models does not end yet. I just gawked at more stunning red carpet beauties via Fashionologie. I wish I’m in the South of France now, walking in my designer wear with my man hanging off my right arm. Dream on… hey, it’s FRIDAY! What are your weekend plans? I’m going to catch Angels & Demons tonight with my buddies. It’s mindless fun, I don’t mind. Otherwise, I’m shopping for a gym membership – so many options, so little time. Anyway, back to Cannes Film Festival 2009:

Eva Herzigova in Versace. Reminds me of Nicole Kidman, strangely.

Natasha Poly stood out in Roberto Cavalli.

Carine Roitfeld in Balmain – not a great photo of her, but I’m diggin’ her outfit.

Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman: Beauty and the Ball.

Devon Aoki in Roberto Cavalli. I love this colour!
