You can’t live without flip flops in Singapore. Why not add a little ‘dressy’ flip flops to your collection? I’m eyeing these limited edition metal mesh Havaianas which will be launched this Friday, 22 January at the All Havaianas Store at #B2-42, ION Orchard. Such a simple way to glam up your weekend outfit! Priced at $89.90 (not exactly affordable flip flops!), be sure to check it out this Friday.

I Heart Alexander McQueen Titanic Ballerina Pumps

alexander-mcqueen-titanic-ballerina

It’s Friday. I’m tired from the week.

I need Alexander McQueen Titanic Ballerina pumps.

Not a big Armadillo fan, but I’ll die in these.

I’ll blog more tomorrow. Time for bed.

Christmas Redux: The Loot

Do you celebrate Christmas? I’m not Christian – to be honest, I only celebrate the holiday for commercial reasons. Then again, I don’t really exchange gifts with friends. I only buy Christmas presents for my family, Bubster and colleagues (for our annual Secret Santa game). This year, I got a few presents from Bubster, Hoyu Singapore, Uniqlo and myself :D (shameless Christmas shopping!). What did you get for Christmas?

My sweet Bubster gave me a shiny purple Coach Jewel Leather Zip Around wallet in Violet. Funny thing is I never hinted to him that I wanted this wallet. I’m pretty contented with my Hello Kitty x Tokidoki wallet from Tokyo but hey, can’t complain right? Yay to new wallet and the smell of leather!

Here’s a new addition to my Longchamp bag collection: My Longchamp Le Pliage in Lavender from the Fall/Winter 2009 colour palette. It’s such a practical bag for traveling – doesn’t give me achy shoulders. Even my mum is hooked! She got herself a long handle one in Black. I blame Bagaholicboy.

Mum and I went shoe-crazy in Hong Kong because there was a moving out sale at Causeway Bay. I was a sensible shopper – I only bought three pairs! Nine West, Enzo Angiolini, Clarks, Steve Madden, Anne Klien – all on sale! I look for comfort shoes so I bought a pair of yellow strappy heels by Easy Spirit, a pair of black studded leather flats by Enzo Angiolini and a pair of nude pumps from Clarks.

Hoyu Singapore sent me a Christmas gift pack from its consumer range consisting of two Prominous hair colour, and Beautylabo Color Care products. Yay! Thank you Hoyu :D

Last but not least, I got some gift vouchers from Uniqlo to spend at 313@Somerset as a Christmas gift. Obviously, I’ve spent it already. So… that was Christmas for me!

Dec 14. Jimmy Choo for H&M.

How I wish I’m in Hong Kong this weekend. Trust me, I don’t enjoy queuing but it would be nice to take a look at the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection. I’ve to admit that the collection is not ‘that’ affordable. Hey, it’s Jimmy Choo on a shoestring! What more can you ask for? I’m not hot about the clothes but I am digging those heels.

Here’s a peek at their advertising campaign – but then, you might already seen it. I’m in Penang right now for the weekend with Bubster and his parents. Yay! Good ol’ Malaysian food always makes me happy :D

Lunch… or Christian Louboutin S/S 2010 Collection?

You know what is better than lunch? Christian Louboutin. I skipped lunch today for a special preview of Christian Louboutin Spring/Summer 2010 collection at their flagship store in Takashimaya. Yes, an hour of shoe galore! I fell in love with the Engin Spikes and Poseidon… and I looked at the bridal collection for my upcoming ‘nuptials’. There are interesting stories behind some of the shoes such as Tahiti – apparently, Princess of Monaco wore this exact design before Louboutin became a household name in French luxury shoes. This is the tribute pair which you can now own! If it’s fit for a Princess, it’s good enough for anybody. I also checked out the collaboration shoes with Phillip Lim and Jonathan Saunders.

Engin Spikes, what a sexy pair.

Burberry Spring/Summer 2010 Shoes

Knot me up, Burberry!

NEWS FLASH! The new Burberry Global Headquarters in London was officially opened by HRH the Prince of Wales (a.k.a. Prince Charles) at Horseferry House in Westminster. Talk about royalty brand association! As you may know, I’ll be blogging ‘live’ from Burberry Grand Opening at ION Orchard next Tuesday. Mark your calendars because November 3rd is going to be full of glitz. glamour and excitement. I’ll also be updating my Facebook Page and Twitter during the party. WOOT!

You never know, maybe I’ll be meeting Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts and Creative Director Christopher Bailey in person. Or… Emma Watson? *fingers crossed* Let’s sidetrack a little and talk about shoes shoes shoes! I’m currently obsessing over these knotted shoes from Burberry Spring/Summer 2010 collection. As seen on the runway, they are all paired with socks (which makes me wonder about the comfort level of these knots). From my experience in Burberry shoes, they make pretty stable heels – considering the fact that I don’t wear heels very often! Check out the collection because they are all so drool-worthy!

Steve Madden: Exclusive Interview with John Madden

You might be wondering – who is John Madden? FYI: He is Steve’s brother and also the Managing Director and President of Steve Madden International. Fash-E! had the opportunity to talk to the stylish footwear mogul about the shoe staples for Fall/Winter 2009, music inspiration, celebrity collaboration and chilli crab (yes, you heard me).

So what are the SHOE STAPLES for this season? John mentioned that there will be many Western-influenced booties, combat boots, leopard prints, tribal sandals and not-so-high heels. You can expect to see more flats with interesting embellishments and the coolest shoes are on its way to Singapore!

Alicia Pan, Steve Madden’s music representative and friend.

Steve Madden shoes are constantly influenced by music. The team is on a look-out for emerging artists such as Alicia Pan, local R&B crooner. In New York, Steve Madden Music features a new recording artist every month or two. Katy Perry was one of the artists discovered by Steve Madden before she became a phenomenal hit! John Madden said that the local marketing team will set up a team in search of the next-big-thing in Asia. I can’t wait to see who’s next!

Steve Madden will also continue to its product extension to jewelery and possibly a clothing line? The brand is building itself as a lifestyle brand rather than just footwear. How about celebrity collaborations? John Madden is keeping mum about this – but he has hinted: SIENNA MILLER… and the OLSEN TWINS. I was hoping KATE MOSS. Better luck next time!

More importantly, does Chilli Crab passed the test? YES.

Style: Week 2009: Steve Madden F/W 2009 Showcase

Fash-Eccentric! was invited to the official opening of Steve Madden outlet at ION Orchard yesterday along with other fashion bloggers such as One Sixty Notepad and TraiT. The Steve Madden Fall/Winter 2009 collection hit the runway outside ION Orchard as part of Style: magazine’s event, Style: Week 2009 – Autumn/Winter Report. Hosted by Class 95 DJ Jean Danker, models strutted down the outdoor runway in the latest season of Steve Madden’s shoes and bags. I’m not sure how feasible fur and booties are in this humid climate but the models were smokin’ hot. Steve Madden is all about discovering emerging artists – local R&B starlet, Alicia Pan who is the music representative of Steve Madden in Singapore, treated us with a hot opening performance. It was HOT, literally… I wish they had mist fans for outdoor fashion events! Enjoy the picture gallery of shoes and bags galore! I braced the heat for these.
