Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010 Launch in Singapore with NIGO

It is unusual for me to wake up early on Saturday but today is not an ordinary weekend. NIGO, founder of A Bathing Ape launched the highly anticipated Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010 in Singapore at 11am today. Hello Kitty and Baby Milo made a special appearance at the BAPE store – in fact, they flew all the way from Japan! The queue started to form long before I arrive – lucky for me, I got first dips into the collection. I already knew what I want but of course, I was tempted to get more! By noon, almost everything was sold out - WOW! Everyone was only entitled to purchase two items. Judging by the success of the Sanrio Baby Milo Store 2010, I bet the Dr. Martens x Sanrio boots will sell like out cakes on 1st September. Mark my words.

Birds & Bling: Eco Art Parade of Jewellery 2010 with Prince Albert II of Monaco

YESTERDAY. I met a PRINCE. Haha, too bad it’s not a fairy tale that I could brag about. The Eco Art Parade of Jewellery 2010 is a travelling exhibition from Monaco to Abu Dhabi via Singapore happening from 28 August – 12 September 2010. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco graced event on Friday night. The 35 exquisite jewellery pieces were inspired by the theme of the “Asiatic Hornbill and the U.A.E.Saker Falcon”. These beautiful blings will be auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds will go to the following charities: Foundation Prince Albert ll of Monaco, BirdLife International, Una Energy Children’s Fund (UNECF), Hafiz and a foundation selected by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan.

If only I could afford the blings, I could do my part for charity. I guess I’ll leave the bidding games to the rich men and tai-tais.

It’s HERE! SANRIO X DR. MARTENS Limited Edition collection will be launched in Singapore on 1 September 2010. Mark this date! Remember the “First Look” of the collection which I blogged about in June – yes, the 3-month wait is over! So, hit the Dr. Martens concept store at Orchard Central beginning September and get your hands on those kawaii boots and mary jan strap shoes. Susanna Lau (a.k.a. Susie Bubble) of Style Bubble is the ambassador for this collaboration and she will be looking for the new Singapore’s Susie Bubble! Have you heard of Dr.Ci:Labo? Honestly, I have never heard of the brand until I receive an invitation to sample their skin care products. Founded by Dr. Yoshinori Shirono, Dr.Ci:Labo products “eliminated all unnecessary ingredients, formulating only those vital to promote the skin’s natural power to preserve its beauty and vitality.” The skin care concept of Dr.Ci:Labo aims to be simple, natural and ultimately, promote healthy skin. The concept is appealing, but did Dr.Ci:Labo meet my fussy skin’s expectation? Read on for Fash-Eccentric‘s review.

To celebrate the opening of Rouge World‘s showroom, yours truly attended a private potluck party and played clothes horse in Bolongaro Trevor the entire night. How can you blame me when I’m surrounded by gorgeous garments and accessories! Besides Bolongaro Trevor, Rouge World also distributes Nikolaj d’Étoiles,Ekjo, Handwritten, Lungta de Fancy, Lefranc Ferrant, Martin Grant, Atalanta Weller & Minna Parikka (omg, shoes galore!). So watch out, Singapore! These designer labels are coming to you – very, very soon and you’ll hear it first from Fash-Eccentric! Started by chic entrepreneur Miranda Lindsay-Fynn and her business partner, Doorstep Luxury aims to be Asia’s premier online retailer. Fash-Eccentric was invited to the quaint lil’ show room tucked along Telok Ayer St to play with the latest and unique designer accessories. Of course, we dieee for more fashion choices in Singapore! Goldheart‘s Sparkle with Glamour show at the Singapore International Jewellery Show 2010 last Saturday was all about the glamour. This time, Goldheart collaborated with local fashion designer, Keith Png who designed the four couture dresses specially for the show to showcase the four “Glam is Back” showpieces which I blogged about previously.
