Look Book: Playing Carrie Bradshaw

Isn’t it a lovely day? I walked down to Starbucks at The Cathay this morning for a quick study session with a venti-size Ice Caffe Latte (nope, I don’t so soy milk). It’s actually quite nice to study there (at the outdoor patio area) as the wind was blowing and it wasn’t humid. I had one quality hour of studying before I embarked on a 4-HOUR shopping trip in Orchard Road. Bad girl. I know. I couldn’t resist it - I love most of ZARA’s latest collection. I saw the exact replica of the metal studded belt that Carrie Bradshaw wore in the SATC movie - but they didn’t have my size and it costs SGD$89.90. I bagged another one from the TRF section at SGD$29.90. Hah, works for me. And, I got these patent pointy-toed shoes which is totally perfect. I’ve been looking for these for awhile now, but I’ve never tried one that I truly love. This is love at first sight, literally. And, they’re comfortable too. Maybe I should wear them with red socks like TraiT. LOL.

This is LOVE at first sight. From TRF by ZARA.

My metal studded waist-belt. Yum.

I got these from Substance at Isetan Shaw. I couldn’t resist them!

Spotted: Rain Boots Buddy

Mansita, 26, Dramatic Writing student at Tisch Asia

I met Mansita today in the library (yes, our teeny, very empty library) and we were candidly chatting about rain boots! I absolutely heart her top which she got them from Uniqlo. The print is completely random but very nice. I need basic black boots since it’s so much easier to match with everything else. Mansita’s also a photographer - can’t wait to see her work!!

Look Book: It’s Raining Presents!

This morning’s rain was an instant killer! I quickly thought of my rainboots (I think I need more right now) and maybe black tights? Wottoncool and Fashionation have been blogging about their ‘warm’ wears about two days ago. Today, it’s my turn! I finally got to wear my denim dress that I bought from Black Market Art. And, I also received my little package today from bleudame.com - hurrah!! I finally got my two-tone wayfarers (ripped-offs, unfortunately) and my tie-dye scarf. They’re not very expensive, so try shopping with them!

Jacket from MNG, Denim Dress from Black Market Art, Tights from Bugis Market, Rain Boots from Plueys, Wayfarers from bleudame.com

Presents!! Haha, who doesn’t love receiving packages?

Upclose and personal with my “Made in Italy” tie-dye scarf.

Lick my Wayfarers. Now, do I look F1 ready?

It’ll be interesting to see what’s going on. I doubt I’ll be there - let’s see how the studying goes. Having a good week? I recently discovered the “power” of Facebook - if you think no one is reading your status, you’re wrong. Well, a part of me like to make things public - and a part of me didn’t wanna cause drama. Then again, I can’t help it because I’m a natural born drama queen. People make mistakes in life, in order to learn. So here’s a lesson learnt: mind your own bloody business. Life is never easy right?

Puma: Glam Up for the First F1 Night Race!

F1 fever is EVERYWHERE! We’re only TWO DAYS away from the first F1 night race in Singapore! Are you having a fashion dilemma yet? No worries, PUMA set the style for Singaporeans what to wear to this prestigious world’s first event at the “Rev Up Your Style” fashion and design show held on August 26th at VivoCity. I know, I’m very late in reporting events. Then again, it’s never too late to hit PUMA shops and plan your three-day outfits because you want to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. The big names who attended the show include Host Paula Malai Ali who opened the show by announcing the guests: Singapore’s youngest professional formula racing driver Hafiz Koh, MediaCorp Artiste Daren Tan and Jade Seah. Here’s a quick peek from the runway:

The fashion students of Raffles Design Institute set the runway alive with unique and revved up styles as they competed in four different teams, all striving to showcase PUMA’s passion for Motorsport and that unique Singaporean sense of style.

The judges were most impressed by Team 1 and their funky revved up styles and awarded them with attractive prizes from PUMA as well as watches from PUMA Time.

Did I see a pink belt? Nice!!

Say “cheesseeeee!” The judges. Let me present to you (from left): Lecture of Fashion Design Brian Forst, GM of PUMA Sports Singapore Sheryl Wong, Fashion Show Producer Daniel Boey and of course, the lovely Nominated Member of Parliament Miss Eunice Olsen.

Singapore Fashion Festival Will Be Back in 2010

*jaws dropped* I was like “2010?!?” How can a country go survive a year without the biggest fashion event - and in our case, the annual Singapore Fashion Festival? This is NOT GOOD NEWS on a Tuesday morning - considering, I missed my bus this morning because of the re-route for F1 Singapore GP. Dammit. Back to the news: Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced that they want to revamp SFF into a more high-profile event that will attract Asian designers and models trying to build global reputations. I suspect the govt ran out of money after spending a bomb on the upcoming F1 event. Well, I guess we’ll have to keep an eye on the other Asian shows. Hopefully, the 2010 show doesn’t disappoint! I’m upset.

What are your thoughts?

Look Book: Sunday Buys & Black Market Art

I know, I went shopping at Black Market Art yesterday. What did I get? I got a denim romper and a $2 second-hand straw bag! It’s $2 - I can’t help it. Haha. I normally don’t find anything I want at flea markets - but this time, it’s different. I even bumped into my lovely cafeteria lady, Jay and her family. Talk about coincidence!

Haha, I can’t help but pose for outfit photos. Haven’t done this in awhile!

Denim Romper and Yellow Straw Bag from Black Market Art. Necklace from Diva. Blue Patent Wedges from Charles & Keith. Baby Blue Retro Sunnies from HK.

Now, stop staring at my boobs. It’s quite decent quality for the price!

This is my $2 find! Haha, not really sure if it’s pretty or not. But it’s interesting.

I bought these awhile ago (maybe a month?) to train myself to walk in heels. Let’s call this stiletto for beginners. So far, I only wore this ONCE. I’ve got a long way to go before I get a pretty pair of Manolos.

I also bought myself a new watch called Shading Bow from Swatch. I know, why Swatch? I just love the black shiny strap and the adorable bow. It’s cute - I couldn’t help it. Ooh, my pocket has a teeny weeny hole now.
