Topshop Make Up S/S 2010 now in Singapore

AWESOME news for Topshop fans in Singapore – Topshop Make Up is finally here! I first tried out the collection in London – but I didn’t manage to get any! Lucky for me, Topshop Make Up made its way to our shores – talk about second chances! Prices start from SGD$13 – super pocket-friendly, don’t you think? I love the fashion-forward colours from the Spring/Summer 2010 range – bring on the glitter! I also took the opportunity to experiment with bold colours like sea green, blood orange and vampish purple. I’m definitely not disappointed :D Now available at ION Orchard outlet- some colours are sold out but no worries, I’m sure Topshop will stock ‘em up pretty soon! Have fun.

I picked up my Topshop Make Up loot from ION Orchard last week. Thanks Topshop!

I absolutely heart this nail colour: Bee’s Knees!

Topshop High Summer 2010 collection brings you more summer sunshine essentials such as body-conscious summer dresses, playsuits, grungy pieces, cute sherbet colours, and yes, clogs. Let me take a few moments to thank the folks from WingTai Singapore for speeding up my Fashion Fast Forward card replacement process – hehe. I can’t believe I lost mine! Have you got one? – Go get one, it’s the best!

How adorable are those little heart prints on the tights?

How’s your weekend so far? I attended the TANG+Co Spring Summer Collection 2010 showcase, “Back to Nature” last Friday with Bagaholicboy and Pat Law. It was such an awesome discovery – I didn’t realize TANG+Co brings in brands like Antik Batik, Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, Wayne Cooper, Ginger & Smart and etc. Of course, there’s the BCBG section which I absolutely heart! It was great fun catching up with the bloggers and also the good people from TANGS. Have a look at the Spring/Summer 2010 collection before you have too much fun this weekend.

Peace and Love: Lara Stone for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010

Bye Bye, Miss America Pie. Make way for Miss Hot Lips, one of the industry’s most sought-after model Lara Stone. Photographed by Steven Meisel, Lara Stone is the new face of Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign. Creative Director Marc Jacobs was looking for “modern, iconic, sexy beauty” and he found Lara Stone. Excellent choice, I say. “It was a wonderful shoot,” continues Marc Jacobs. “Doves were flying, the atmosphere was sexy and magical, and the result is a set of images that are desirable, colorful, whimsical and, of course, luxurious.” In this campaign, Lara Stone channels Brigitte Bardot as she sprawled beautifully on a bed of moss, fern and doves. Featuring the “metallic Monogram canvas and sun-bleached Monogram denim bags, furry foxtail charms, hardware-inspired jewelry and wooden clogs embellished with rustic tufts of fur”, this ethereal ad campaign definitely looks better than the last season – at least to me. Do you like it?

Trendspotting: Burberry Acrylic and Crystal Degradé Bracelets for Spring Summer 2010

burberry-jewellery-spring-summer-2010-4

Keep your studs & chains because it’s all about acrylic and crystal degradé bracelets for Spring/Summer 2010. Spotted on models at the recent Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2010 womenswear catwalk show in London, these bangles were inspired by innovative interpretations of classic Burberry icons including the trench coat and trademark check. The check acrylic and crystal degradé bracelets are immensely beautiful in fumed shades of pale rock trench, pale rock anthracite, pale rock pistachio, pale rock pink and pale rock willow. If you ask me, I find these bangles pretty classic like the Burberry label. Classic choices never goes out of style. I’m sure you’ll be seeing them around pretty soon.

Trendspotting: Clogs are Spring Chic

Paris Fashion Week is heaven. I noticed something similar about the Chanel Spring 2010 RTW and Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 RTW: CLOGS. I don’t know about you but I was like, “Really?” I really like the Chanel versions but the fringy, suede peg-heeled LV clogs, I don’t know. I really really dig those new Chanel stockings with ballerina lace details! And, that chain-like garter belt, So awesome! You’ll be hearing these clogs banging away on pretty marble floors before you know it. This is what the good people from style.com said about clogs, “If it’s good enough for Karl, bring it on”. I think they’re cute! Now, where are the cheaper alternatives?

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2010: Gareth Pugh

Bonjour, it’s Paris Fashion Week! Gareth Pugh, fashion prince of darkness, is back with a softer side. His front row boasts big names such as Rihanna, Michael Stipe, Terence Koh, and Adrian Grenier from Entourage. This time, his designs are more floaty and less structured like last season. If you ask me, the models look like anime characters. Villians or Superheroes? You decide. I am quite curious to see where he got his inspiration from – manga? anime? I am thrilled that Pugh has moved on from his hard, shape silhouette to a more romantic side – it’s like a breath of fresh air. You can easily see for yourself.
