It is one thing to be famous. And, another to be immortalized. Our fave ‘IT’ girl, Agyness Deyn has is being unveiled as Rootstein Mannequin’s latest model on May 20th. Rootstein Creative Director Kevin ArpinoI explains the choice, “Rootstein has had a long history of predicting the decades most influential visages and we felt that Agyness embodies the look of the first decade of this century. Her style and mannerisms both on and off the runway, as well as her fabulous physique, made her the perfect choice to be immortalized as a mannequin.”
Agyness Deyn is the face of this century. In her second solo cover of June 2008’s Vogue UK, Agyness looks uber-cute in a “teeny weeny white Burberry shorts with her peroxide crop artfully tousled (by Sam McKnight) – and summer is here at last”.

Kate Moss is not your average bride. Rumours are looming in regards to her September wedding to fiance, Jamie Hince - that didn’t stop the “bride-to-be” from campaigning the ultra-sexy Agent Provocateur’s White Wedding range. The range includes “demi-bras, tasselled nipple ‘pasties’, tulle eye-masks, lacy thongs and baby doll nighties”. Definitely designed to please the man, and to stroke your virginal ego. In addition, Kate was featured in six experimental films entitled, ‘“The Happiest Day of Her Life’, that follows the demise of Moss’s big day, released online at SHOWStudio“. My favourite girl, Agyness Deyn is releasing her new collaborative single “Who” with New York band, The Five O’Clock Heroes. Agyness appeared and also sang in the video - it’s catchy, and it kinda reminds me of Milla Jovovich. According to NME, the single will be released on “June 23 on seven-inch vinyl and download formats”. Don’t miss out on this.

Hope Robertson said, “This dress design is an ode to summer – meant to look like the sky — and I’d say the blue and frothy print of this Zac Posen creation even resembles the sea.” It couldn’t be described better. I think the uneven bubble hem is ingenious. Net-A-Porter styled it with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Chloé bag and a Philippe Audibert bracelet.

As seen on Agyness Deyn on the runway and the fabulous, Rachel Bilson, the dress is definitely captivating and eye-catching. I think Rachel Bilson looks absolutely sweet and gorgeous with dark tights and black heels. And, I love her new hair! This is my favourite look of the season. What’s yours?
It’s fashion gone wild! Make noise for Made-in-Brazil supermodel, Gisele Bundshen at the 2008’s opening of Sao Paolo Fashion Week in Rio de Janeiro. Reports exclaimed the frenzy reaction at Gisele’s strut down the catwalk for Brazil’s famed high street label, Colcci in just three outfits.
Her incredible ’supermodel’ presence is one of the main attractions at this year’s Fashion Rio. The loudest noise was made when she walked down in the puffy beige dress (picture: left) and red plaid boots. Let’s just say as one of the richest models in the world - she certainly banked in mega $$$ for her lil’ strut!
Remember Naomi Campbell had to perform community service recently for hitting an assistant on the head with a phone (I think it was a Blackberry). Of course, being Naomi, she had to dress in high fashion from head to toe every day that she had to perform the community service. Apparently Naomi kept a diary while she was performing community service and now, all the diary entries from that period and pictures have been published in the new issue of W magazine.
Here are some quotes from the magazine:
“I find solace in sweeping. I have no other responsibility. I have no phone. I have the time to think. Just have, you know, peace.”
I feel so sorry for Naomi, maybe her maid should let her sweep floors sometimes. Those maids!
“Two of the people in the room have never been on a plane. They ask me what it’s like, and I’m embarrassed to tell them I was on seven planes the week before alone. It’s so interesting to get to know so many different sorts of people.”
I guess this was taken before or after a day of community service - she looks glam there.
I think this is supposed to be Naomi distraught - Naomi crying(?) in what looks like a trailer. Maybe she was upset she no longer had to sweep.
I’m not so sure why I blogged about this now besides the fact that Naomi Campbell is a model and she is on the cover of one of fashion’s great magazines. She still looks pretty great though in my opinion and I hope she has her anger issues under wraps so she can do what she does best, model. And whoever her new assistant, I wish her luck. Oh, the things we do to get a leg in the fashion industry.
