The final show of the first day of Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2011 is the Hong Kong Polytechnic University MA Graduate show. 12 graduates showcased six key looks from their respective collections at the MA Graduate show. It is gratifying to see the various point of views and techniques in their designs. My favourites include Ayan Chan‘s Femiman collection, Alicia Jiang‘s When Knitting Meets Deconstruction and I’m absolutely dying for Ruby Gan‘s skeletal print maxi dress. There are a couple experimental, questionable designs but I applaud the skills and techniques applied to the designs. You can expect great stuff from these young designers!
