It seems like celebs are lovin’ pearls and the trick is to layer them with multiple strands while pairing with the classic black dress. Of course, double is what Ashlee Simpson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwyneth Paltrow are doing.
Bright Jackets
There is nothing more show-stopping than loud, bright colours! I love Rihanna’s spunky hot pink jacket. Even Katherine Heigl and Kim Kardashian are sporting bright jackets with dark denim. Smart!
Leather Mini Skirts
Bring back the 80s staple! I used to be vegan, so I’m against the usage of real leather. You can opt for latex or faux leather like Nicky HIlton. Selita Ebanks and Ashley Olsen are pairing their minis wiht monotones and fierce shoes!
Short Suits
Show off your long legs by coordinating your black blazers with shorts like Anne Hathaway, Rihanna and Natalie Portman. I love how Rihanna paired it with a black sheer top and bright orange heels! Otherwise, you can add a little colour like Natalie with a Maroon tee.
Shimmery Beige Dress
Don’t be afraid to shine amongst the crowd. Neutral with a little sparkle can be very alluring and sexy. Take the cue from Claire Danes, Mila Kunis and Heidi Klum.

Exam’s over! It’s the holidays woohoo! I can’t wait to pack my bags and leave this country. Well, not for another couple of weeks at least. Sorry for the hiatus. I’ve been sticking my head in the books - exam is happening in 7 days or less! Plus, I’ve to juggle my time finishing stuff at work. I’m still religiously reading my daily fashion blogs and sites. I’ve been reading Trend de la Creme for awhile. They’re awesome in trendspotting. John Galliano presented his haute couture fall-winter 2008/2009 fashion collection for Dior yesterday. I don’t know about you, but I think the ‘helmet head’ look is kinda cool.

First, we have the ‘Boyfriend’ shirt trend. Now, it seems like the girls are stealing the bottoms too! Sxy Fashion Queen has spotted some celebrities hiding in their boyfriend’s or hubby’s pants and are we lovin’ this? Is this here to stay - at least for a little while?
Let’s see who’s sporting the boyfriend’s jeans: Ginger Spice, Gwen Stefani (ooh, she’s rocking the look!) and Kylie Minogue! Kylie looks kinda mummy over here… not working for me.
It looks like Victoria Beckham has already started it with trousers instead! I think she looks uber-chic (There you go, Bingboompia! I’m endorsing VB’s style)

I blogged about the hippie headband trend awhile back. Now, I’m shifting my focus on Urban Outfitters‘ new range of headwraps. I absolutely want them! Headwrap is a simple way to jazz up your lovely mane with minimal effort yet look ultra-chic.
This is something different from what I’ve been seeing. This mesh flower headwrap is a darling. I can imagine wearing this on a lovely Sunday at a picnic or just strolling in the park with my Boy. Hee.
Ikat is a style of weaving and also tie-dye - hence, this fabric is translated in this Ikat headwrap. It adds an ethnic flavour if you’re thinking of going bohemian.
This skinny feather headwrap is really pretty, and sexy. No worries, no peacocks were harmed during the design of this headwrap. We don’t believe in animal sacrifice for the sake of fashion.
Step aside braided headwraps and make way for this unique linked headwrap of interlocking pieces of leather finished with a suede tie. Let’s hope it doesn’t leave stress marks on your forehead! Go headwraps!

Sun. Sand. Sea. I need my annual beach holiday and luckily for me, I managed to get good flights to Bali in August. The boy and I had a voucher to use for the The Ritz-Carlton, Bali Resort & Spa and this is the perfect timing since flights during August skyrocketed like crazy or worse, sold out! We managed to snag newly released flights via Jetstar Asia - awesome. Anyway, I’ve been day-dreaming about the sea and Fashion156’s The Nautical Issue makes me drool over hues of red, white and navy blue… oh, stripes too:

There is something very ‘Gossip Girl’ about the Fall ‘08 collection of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s line, Elizabeth+James. I could almost see Blair, Serena or Jenny walking in these. Nylon got the first look at the affordable, younger clothing line by the designer twins. So, does Fash-E loves this collection? We shall see.
Described as, “trust fund babe goes to a rock concert” - so true. The famous duo is trying to give Henry Holland a run for his money with this uber-cute tartan mini skirt. It is probably my favourite piece from the preview I’m seeing from Nylon. I can imagine this on lil’ J or one of her snooty entourage member.
Why do I get a Kate Moss vibe from these? I love the bleach blonde they used for the photoshoot. The slouchy boyfriend wardrobe and high-waisted pants are definitely “in” according to the twins for Fall ‘08. Everyone is playing with the androgynous look. We can expect to see more grey “lines” between the gender divide.
I like the peacock motif at the back of the green tartan jacket. Skirts are definitely short this Fall ‘08. We see a mixture of girly and tomboyish-chic from the girls. Are they great designers? I guess they’re alright but we haven’t seen the best from them. With their sense of style and guidance from professionals, rich teens will be rushing to the stores for these ‘overpriced’ items.
We say, “Leave them to the trustfund babies”.
