Look who is Twitpic-ing!
If you can’t fight them, join them. Famed photographer, Steven Meisel spoofed the Twitter phenomenon in Vogue Italia December 2009 in this ingenious editorial called “meiselpic” for obvious reasons. Featuring supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Gisele Bundshen, Agyness Deyn, Lara Stone, Natasha Poly and etc. These self-portraits are accompanied by one-liners such as “Privacy is beautiful!” (Gisele Bundshen)… This editorial is definitely worth a mention. Yay to social networking! Even the prints can’t resist it.

PA-PA-PANDA!
New York Couture is truly one-of-a-kind. The label is a “harmonious blend of punk-rock cool, ultra-glam and prima ballerina”. It translates every girl’s childhood (or rather dark) fantasies into their something wearable. You can expect to see limited edition or one-of-a-kind cotton skirts, tops and dresses. Unlike good TV shows, New York Couture don’t do repeats. So you’ll be proud to own your special piece and wear it proud. Big names such as Katy Perry, Pink, Agyness Deyn and Leelee Sobieski were seen in some of their designs. A little eccentricity doesn’t hurt right? I’m eyeing something from their collection… hmm.

Do I sense Lady Gaga?

The lace cape is a killer. And, bow top and gold metallic tights.

A snake dress – kinda reminds me of Bjork’s Oscar swan dress, hurr.

This is pretty special. Owl jumper!

This is sooo funny!

Bring on more pink and tutuus!

The King of Pop’s style is iconic. We all know that. As a tribute to MJ, Harper’s Bazaar whipped up a slick-ass editorial featuring Agyness Deyn and Terry Richardson. I’m not sure if Aggy is the best person to personified MJ but, good try. Now, I want diamond encrusted shoes and red leather biker jacket. Oh, throw in a chimpanzee as well! R.I.P. Michael Jackson – this is for you:

How was your weekend? I kick-started my weekend with my virgin wakeboarding session at Punggol Marina with Bubster and Sim. It was exhilarating except for the fact that Punggol Marina is not the cleanest ever (sorry, sea snob here) and there were jellyfishes! Anyway, I sported my highly reflective Oakley FROGSKIN Collectors Editions – it’s the perfect choice for my weekend. I read that BB is not loving them at all! I beg to differ. It reminds me of the 80s – in fact, Bubster’s brother owned a pair from the 80s. Well, he was the one who educated me about it and we got this pair since last December from New Zealand!
Whatever it is, I think they are awesome. Here’s me me me in my Oakley Frogskin

I love my Frogskin!

Bubster and I after a tiring, long wakeboarding day.

Agyness Deyn spotted in Oakley Frogskin and looking extremely happy.

Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough was spotted with the similar pair as mine!
Are you loving this trend? First, neon… then leggings… now, reflective sunnies!
Here’s the unlikely couple. Fashionologie reported that Agyness Deyn shot a highly lucrative Summer sports campaign with Japanese label, Uniqlo. This campaign is set to go ‘live’ in June. Photographed by Daniel Jackson and styled by Nicola Formichetti.

London Fashion Week is back. This year, LFW celebrates 25 years in fashion and also dedicated a day to menswear. Fash-E has so many designers to blog about but here are some which caught my eye: Mary Katrantzou’s debut collection jolted me from my seat with bold, loud prints and architectural shapes. Luella never fail to amaze me with this “cute utilitarianism” collection. Christopher Kane creates an interesting look with stripes on organza. Giles gets a little aggressive with his new collection as he goes back to basic by mixing materials. House of Holland goes graphical with a multi-color parade (not the most impressive, unfortunately). Julien Macdonald brings back the rock chick. Roksanda Ilincic brings out the drama in the shoulders and sleeves. Ready or not, here we go.
