Best Dressed: 2010 Golden Globe Awards

MONDAY. MONDAY. MONDAY. I need some sparkling pretty things and thank goodness, there’s the 2010 Golden Globe Awards. My light at the end of the Monday tunnel :D Oh, GLEE won Best Television Series (Comedy or Musical) – yay! It has been a long day, I just can’t wait to get into bed. Here are some eye-candies before my slumber party:

Golden-Globe-2010-Diane-Kruger

I can’t say how much I adore Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix. Hands down, she’s my fave!

Golden-Globe-2010-Anna-Paquin

Woah! I’m instantly drawn to Anna Paquin‘s Stella McCartney gold number – are you?

Golden-Globe-2010-Carey-Mulligan.preview

The new “IT” girl in town, Carey Mulligan looks super cute-chic in this Nina Ricci navy gown and ooh ooh, I love her rhinestone headband.

Golden-Globe-2010-Olivia-Wilde

Olivia Wilde is effortlessly sexy in this shiny gunmetal Gucci gown. My red carpet favourite.

Golden-Globe-2010-Jennifer-Garner

A lil’ understated but I love Jennifer Garner’s Versace gown with sequin details.

Golden-Globe-Ginnifer-Goodwin

Ginnifer Goodwin keeps her dress short and chic in a cobalt draped dress. Love!

Golden-Globe-2010-Jayma-Mays

I LOVE GLEE. And, Jayma Mays took a chance with this strapless B&W architectural confection.

Golden-Globe-2010-Dianna-Agron

Glee‘s Dianna Agron is a stunner for a first-timer in her strapless silver chiffon gown.

Golden-Globe-2010-Rose-Byrne

I did say purple is the new black. Rose Byrne goes vintage-y in pretty plum Lanvin.

Review: Confessions of a Shopaholic

Last night, I caught the film “Confessions of a Shopaholic” with the beloved, Jan for some girly fun. Isla Fisher is a natural born comedienne – seriously! This girl is a walking slapstick comedy. As for the costumes, I’m not really a fan of Patricia Field‘s work for this film in terms of the mixing and matching. I do fancy a few items from the film such as:

The Green Scarf

By Dolce & Gabbana. This is the “key” piece in the film which earned her the name “Girl in the Green Scarf”. I’ve to say I do love the way the scarf wraps around her neck and flows… nice. For those who’re interested, Patricia Field is remaking this and selling green scarf replicas on her website!

The Purple Lanvin Dress

This is sooo gorgeous! Apparently, Patricia Field had this made in purple (I believe the original colour was Black). She paired this Lanvin dress with a thick black waisted belt, lilac tights and a cute jacket. Ruffles! Take the cue, everybody.

Here’s another ‘very good’ reason to watch this film:

Luke Brandon (starred by Hugh Dancy)

Do I need to say more? Just three words: Hot British Editor. Can you hear my heart going thump thump thump? I want him. HAHAHA. The boyfriend doesn’t hear this. Don’t expect it to be the new SATC though. The film opens tomorrow in all cinemas in Singapore. Catch it!

Red Carpet: Independent Spirit Awards 2009

YES! It’s Oscars time. While the beautiful people are walking the red carpet, let me present to you the best-dressed at the Independent Spirit Awards last Saturday. It’s a slightly more low-key than your usual award shows but I love seeing what indie and also accomplished actors and actresses wear. Think casual chic, but right on-trend. I wish I can watch the Oscars now *pouts*

OMG. Rachel Weisz is unbelievably chic in this slouchy blue trench and floral dress.

Cameron Diaz is the Princess of red carpet. Nobody stands out like she does!

Lucy Liu is sweet as cupcake in this pink Lanvin dress.

I think Michelle Monaghan is so adorable. She looks so cute in this blue shift dress.

Rose Byrne goes simple chic in this white Calvin Klein dress with metallic silver pumps.

Anne Hathaway is simply classy in this light yellow dress.

I love love love this stripe color block dress that Michelle Williams is wearing.

James Franco is yummy as chocolate. Now, who is that chick?

I never leave Zooey Deschanel out from any red carpet event.

Now, vote for Slumdog Millionaire for Best Picture!!!

Mummy & Daughter Spotted!

Sorry for the weekend hiatus. My mum was in town and both of us went on a crazy shopping spree along Singapore’s shopping district, Orchard Road. The Great Singapore Sale turned out to be quite a nightmare (yeah, I should have anticipated this) as the entire Singapore swarmed the town. My mum is so cute, she’s super addicted to Gelatissimo. We’re both on full gluttony mission!

Fash-E spotted mummy-daughter pair: Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld and her daughter Julia Restoin-Roitfield both lookin’ fashionably hot at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival red carpet. On the left, Carine looks super slick in black Lanvin and then, the duo appeared in sexy Balmain numbers. Very stunning, don’t you think? Whereas, my mum and I both wear ZARA and Dorothy Perkins. LOL.
