Look Book: Bobster Get Shorty

I went for a haircut yesterday. My bobster needed an overdue snip snip and I decided to get rid of the clean lines, and go bedhead. That means more layers and uneven lengths. I love it. I wish my fringe is a little longer - I could do a Kate Lanphear but nah, I hate it when my hair pokes my eyes. I thought of colouring my hair, but I was too lazy to sit in the same spot for 2-hours. Maybe next time.

The same shape, but messier. Ignore the eye bags.

Longer on my right.

Shorter on my left. Have a good weekend!

It’s my last weekend of freedom before school starts. Yikes!

Look Book: Take a Trip to Avenue Q!

Yesterday was one hectic, mad day. I had to run multiple errands - bank, school (Fees! Not funny, I’m a few Ks broke now), laundry and dinner with dad. I caught the matinee show for Avenue Q. I didn’t get all dressy dressy for the show as I was running about the entire day. If you haven’t got tickets to Avenue Q, please book the remaining seats now! I promise you two-hours of fun, puppet sex and multiple stitches! I just finished writing my review for channelnewsasia.com - tune in! Meantime, do read my Avenue Q feature here.

Look Book: Mötley Crüe ‘Live’ in Singapore!

The biggest, loudest, most badass glam metal band, Mötley Crüe totally rocked the house down at Fort Canning Park on Thursday night. I’ve to admit that I’m not the biggest fan ever. Given their existing reputation and history, I simply cannot miss this legendary band tearing the stage down. Of all the countries, they picked Singapore as their South-East Asian stop! These guys embodied everything about ’sex, drugs and rock’n'roll’ you know. All have been to jail. Dated Pamela Anderson. Made a sex tape. Drug overdose. Name it - they’ve been there, done that. Fans have waited more than 20 years for them - for me, this is just the beginning.

Haha, don’t laugh! This is my attempt at lookin’ 80s and “yellow trash” - the Asian equivalent of a ‘white trash’. I left my neon pink studded bracelet at home but I wore my white straight jacket one. I know I don’t look glam rock at all. Nothing on me is glittery, feathery, and overly studded. I can’t beat those guys and girls in the crowd - they were wearing 80s oversized denim vest, old-school Motley’s T-shirt and even sporting huge mullets!

Dress from Depression. DIY leggings originally from Future State. High-top Chucks from Converse. Grey denim vest from MNG. Straight jacket bracelet from Bugis Market. Scarf (turned into headband) from Bleudame.com

This is my very horrible attempt at cutting my old black tights. I can’t do this properly, but I didn’t really care and wore it anyway. HAHA. You can’t really reverse the process. You fashion designers out there! How do you slash this properly? Teach me! I look super skanky, don’t I?

Don’t mess with my MEDIA tag - HAH!

Botak Jones hotdogs for dinner! See that ‘finger-licking good’ sign from Bubster?

An electrifying, mut*af*kin’ experience! Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil jammin’ like old times. I’ve never seen such a wild, loud crowd from Singapore! This is the real deal man. People are going nuts! Girls are flashing their tits. Bras are thrown on stage. 12-year old kids are screaming in their Adult-size metal T-shirts. 40-yr olds are reliving their teenage years.

The spotlight is on Mick Mars to show off his solo guitar magic! It was thrilling, seriously.

Nikki Sixx was awesome. He’s still got his crazy chops! I had a great view of him (not really Tommy Lee) and he’s still oozing with sex appeal, if you know what I mean! I want that crazy lookin’ microphone stand!

At some point, I saw BOOBS. Right in front of me. I got ultra excited but I didn’t get a picture of her naked glory! Haha, that silly girl threw her bra and top on stage, and security had to get them back for her. Poor girl had to cover her boobs with her hands. LOL. Who would have thought, you see this in nice city, Singapore?

That’s me and Bubster after the gig - totally sweaty and slimed up by half-naked men! We were right in front near the speakers. Our ears were ringing like mad. At some point, I stuck my finger into my ears. My trusty pink notebook was no use as I was shoved around within the moshing crowd - which was part of the great, crazy experience. I haven’t had so much fun in like ages. Motley asked, “Do you want us to come back next year?”

HELL YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Check out my videos. Coming Soon.

Look Book: Neon Pink and Straight Jacket

READY. SET. GO!

I officially have nothing to wear to Mötley Crües gig tonight at Fort Canning Park. I’ve nothing that says “Glam Rock!” Yesterday I hopped by Bugis Market in search for some ‘metal-studded items’ - I know, I’m turning into a fashion victim, sue me. I walked into this shop that sells metal-studded everything (I’ll prolly never walk in on a normal basis) and I found this neon pink studded jelly bracelet. I’m totally sold. Plus, I got this other white bracelet that reminded me of a straight jacket. Two friends commented that I should wear nothing to the gig, to please Mr. Pammy Anderson. I don’t think so, girls!

Dilemma. Dilemma. Dilemma. What am I going to wear?

Spotted: Partyin’ Hard with Bryan Boy!

“I Love Bryan Boy!”

This is just a teaser, because I’ve tons of photos and videos to edit from last night’s wild gay bar hopping, drinking and partying to freakin’ Janet Jackson (WTF!) in a lesbian club. We hopped from Klee at Portsdown Road to Tantric to Play - super crazy and I haven’t partied like that since… forever LOL. Bryan Boy is such a sweetie and not the diva you might think he is. I can’t believe I had a chance to finally meet the ‘boy’ (I’m sure he’s a man already) and of course, party hard baby! I had so much fun with the other Singapore fashion bloggers as well, Fashion Nation, TraiT, Posh Palette and Hafiz from Streetsnaps. OMG, we must soooo do this again!!

More BB updates, embarrassing photos and videos later, and all I’ve to say is, “We found BB!!”

Look Book: The Technology De-Tox

I had a little talk with Bubster last night before bedtime about going on a technology de-tox. Like no blogging, no emails, no Facebook, no watching TV, no games (hence, no  Nintendo DS Lite) and no SMSes. Yups, I realised that I spend at least 15 ‘waking’ hours on the Internet, computer, TV and etc. That’s totally scary. I don’t even exercise anymore! I’m seriously pondering if I should just quit the Internet (yes, blogging) and go back to basics. What happen to gardening or painting or making music? Then again, I live in a city - and it’s Singapore. There’s nothing much to do but shop, eat, and watch movies. I hate to say this but we’ve transformed from a “nation of doers and thinkers to a nation of watchers and listeners”. At least, I have. I need a retreat from TECHNOLOGY. I have three weeks before school starts again, and I’m going to make the most out of it. I will try to blog, but I won’t make myself do it if I simply can’t. Adios, boys and girls - I’m going on an Internet-free holiday and live in basics. Enough ranting.

My new friend, black Nintendo DS Lite which I’m putting away after five days.

Technology cannot take over my life!

I finally wore my Baylene jacket from Fash Bash. Hurrah!
Jacket from Baylene. Basic tank top from Topshop. Necklace from Diva.

Look Book: No Evil

I see no EVIL.

I speak no EVIL.

I hear no EVIL.

T-shirt from Depression. Scarf from Topshop. Watch from Swatch.

Nothing you’ve never seen before. I just decided today I’ll mix my neon pink checkers with a floral scarf. Not sure if this ‘clash’ works but it kept me warm on my cold Monday! What do you think?
