Virtual Shoe Museum: Bizarre, Killer Shoes

source

You’ve seen the above before. If you think these shoes are the only crazy ones out there, you’re in for a big surprise. The Virtual Shoe Museum archives a huge collection of shoes from various photographers, designers and publishers. If you’re like me, your jaws will literally drop when you see some of these out-of-the-world designs that make you wonder if people actually do wear them. This site is definitely a haven for shoe maniacs - as for me, it’s a wonderful eye-opener.

“Tisshoes” by Masashi Kawamura

When I was young, I used to wear tissue boxes on my feet when they ran empty.

“Wire Shoes” by Polly Verity

Wire frames! If you wanna feel like you’re wearing nothing, this is your pick.

“Dildo Shoe” by Michael Brown

I don’t need to spell out what the other usage right? LOL.

I love lilies, and this is very pretty. I love this! Call me Poison Ivy.

“Stelts” by Eelko Moorer

It looks more like a ‘heels for beginners’ torture device to me!

“Artus Duplex” by René van den Berg

This is the futuristic sh*t I’m talking about! Even comes with a key hole!

“High” by Bart Hess

HAHAHA, that is some furry action! Meow!

Spotted: Madonna, Fully Loaded

Madonna a.k.a. Maddy was spotted in NYC for the premiere of her movie “Filth and Wisdom” in all-black. Hmm, is she hiding her body under that sheer dress? Anyway, focus on those Chanel heels! I mean, it’s definitely different but I’m not sure I’m liking it very much. Let’s just say the guns stay at home - or even better, non-existent. Peace and Love - just as Ringo Starr claimed.

Maddy’s looking kinda scrawny, eh?

Is this what the female Bond is going to wear? Heels in disguise.

Malaysian Fashion: Vincci

Yours truly is back from the land of “Truly Asia”. I’ve to admit, I didn’t shop extensively - except for two pairs of shoes from Vincci also known as VNC in Singapore. The shoes were not part of the plan as this trip is a family reunion, rather than a shopping adventure. But, my quick retail therapy followed after my mum’s win at Genting’s Casino. Technically, my shoes were generously contributed by the late Uncle Lim. Thank youuu!

Vincci or VNC is prolly one of the trendiest, and most affordable Malaysian shoe boutiques. I grew up wearing Vincci shoes for as long as I remember. And till this day, I would stop by and shop at any Vincci stores whenever I head back to M’sia. I enjoy feasting my feet in the buffet of shoes of the season - although I dare to admit, they’re not the most comfortable. Plus, they don’t last forever. Hey, they’re cheaper than shoes in Singapore!

I believe in investing in good, comfortable shoes and pretty feet (no blisters pls!). But Vincci are fun shoes - low risk, low cost right? Well, I can’t afford a Manolo Blahnik yet but you’ve to start somewhere. Vincci is my shoe haven since forever… it’s good to reminisce. OK, did I mention I love the new campaign with this model’s pixie hairdo? I want that hair (if my Mickey ears disappeared).
