It’s 10:15pm. I just got back from IKEA. I went home for a short break, and wardrobe change (since the rain hasn’t stop!). I got my full length mirror (finally!) and some other knick-knacks. This is what I wore to my IKEA trip (note: check out my new hair! It’s really short in the back - I call it my Aeon Flux-look):

Jacket: Sports jacket from MNG
Top: T-shirt from Threadless (I didn’t change! LOL)
Bag: Silver bag form River Island (very over-used, I know)
Bottom: Black jeans from Levis
Shoes: Rain boots from Plueys (Don’t think I should own more than one pair!)

Do you like my boy’s windbreaker/jacket? It’s from H&M - he calls it ‘red neck’ chic.
It’s the weekend! It’s a rainy day outside and I’ve lotsa errands to run:
- A haircut. YES, I’m bored of my “neither-here nor there” hair. I blogged about Operation ‘Grow X-Wen’s Hair’ as part of my motivation to keep my hair long. I’m giving that up. Haha, sorry. In fact, I’m going to get quite a drastic haircut - you’ll see soon at Fashion Nation’s 2nd Year Anniversary party at Soon Lee tomorrow, 3pm to 5pm - see ya there!
- A brazillian (straight up) at Strip. How often do you get one? Honestly, I hate getting the B. Of course, the result is amazing - but is it worth the pain? I clinged tightly to the towel or sometimes, I’ll bite it - really hard. I’m such a sucker. Anyway, Bali trip is only four days away - I’m doing this for the bikini.
- IKEA trip. I need a full-length mirror like since forever. I’ve a bad history with breaking mirrors (in particular, IKEA ones) - so 14 years of bad luck? Anyway, I bet this one is going to be good. I don’t care. And, some other organizers for my crazy, bursting wardrobe. Yikes.

Top: T-shirt from Threadless
Bottom: Slouchy shorts from Uniqlo
Accessories: Necklace from H&M

Skinny Jeans - Hip & Going Strong
“The term “fashion forward” isn’t just a sassy form of alliteration; fashion is always looking forward (when it’s not looking back) which explains why even though Fall 2006 is still months away, we are currently obsessed with the “it” look of the season - the skinny jean. The look manages to be a winning combination of sexy yet casual all at once, but it’s popularity among the fashionably emaciated begs the question: are slim jeans only fitting for those who actually can fit into them? Here’s the skinny on who can wear skinny jeans, how to choose a pair that satisfies your style, and how long skinny jean will stay on the racks.
‘A trend isn’t in one season and out the next,” said Rau. ‘Look how long the boot-cut jean lasted. The skinny jean is new right now, but it will be the jean of choice for a couple of years.’Goodbye boot-cut, relaxed fit, and - gasp - flared leg. It’s time for jeans to get lean.” (source)

Project Runway Season 3: “Fashionably Early”
While we’re halfway through Project Runway Season 2, the Americans get their fashion fix of Season 3 four months earlier when the season kicks off in July. Fashion designer, Michael Kors and Elle fashion director, Nina Garcia will reprise their roles as resident judges. Tip: Vera Wang might be making a guest appearance on the show! So what are we gonna get…? Another wedding gown competition? Ooh la la! ( source)
The new designs are “in” and once again, I spotted something I might want to order. Then again, I ordered seven tees last month - thanks to Threadless 3-day $10 sale (ah, you evil evil evil skinnycorp!). So I’m thinking, maybe I should go on a t-shirt shopping hiatus for awhile. Ah, the pain of not having all the money in the world. Once again, it would be nice to add the following tees to my collection:
This is the cutest ever! Playfully called Ambition Killed The Cat and look at that poor kitty electrocuted along the power lines. OUCH! You know, once I saw a monkey carcass stuck in the EXACT same position like this kitty back in Malaysia. Unfortunately, the monkey’s tail has dropped off but I’m damn sure it’s a monkey. Dead monkey, I suppose. Not related, never mind.
I’m smittened by the color, not the design. No offence but I think the design isn’t too bad. It’s not something that I would like go “ga-ga” over and lose sleep over. However, the color. Now that’s a different thing. This is called Stone Jungle. Very clever, stone jungle… concrete jungle. We get the meaning.
Also, other new Threadless tees to check out such as Landline’s Revenge and Talk To Me. On the reprint section, the lovelies at Threadless has decided to reprint The Outdoor Mix. I remember this tee was sold out on the day it was released. Talk about hardcore. I was one of them who requested for a reprint and now, I’m resisting my purchasing power. Save for the rainy day, as mummy always say.
