Mother’s Day just passed – but hey, I’m loving the bared-belly mums! Let’s welcome Claudia Schiffer to the club. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld, Claudia Schiffer appears as the beautiful naked mummy on the cover of June 2010′s Vogue Germany. As you know, these bared-belly trend was started by Demi Moore‘s infamous cover shot for Vanity Fair. It literally changed the world – and kick-started a trend for glorifying the pregnant body. It’s not a bad thing, don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love the idea! I wonder if I will do the same – but long way to do before I get a big big belly (unless I eat too much chocolate!)

This is not ‘new’ news. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy scored the coveted cover of September 2008 issue of Vanity Fair. The magazine called her the new Jackie O – and I say, she definitely is. She knows style. She knows glamour. And, she’s “imaginative, clever, educated… and knows how to behave” according to the one and only, Karl Lagerfeld. Do check out her photo spread photographed by Annie Leibovitz:

I fell in love with Zooey Deschanel when I first laid my eyes on her in one of my favourite films of all time, Almost Famous. She struck me as a smart, funny and bright-eyed ingenue and I wanted to know everything about her. Zooey not only acts, but she sings as well. Also, she has an impeccable sense of style that is genuine and surprising at times. I even have a “Zooey” folder in my Mac with my favourite photos of her. Cheers to my favourite indie girl in Hollywood (besides Parker Posey, of course) for scoring her Lucky magazine July cover!
Zooey lookin’ very prim and pink at the premiere of ‘The Happening’. Also, a dated photo from the 2006 Teen Choice Awards – I love the big bow and black stockings. Is this still relevant today? What are your thoughts?
